I swear DDO lives by Murphy's law. If 1 thing goes wrong 10 things go wrong. If you fix 1 thing 20 more break. Please DDO for the sake of your players, you know the people that continually spend money on the game... Please work on fixing all the broken content, bugs, etc before even looking at the development team for new ideas on expansions or new quests.

Whining and complaining and reading other people's whining and complaining helps me a lot. It passes the time and makes me laugh.

And they can log in to the website whenever they choose. They have smart phones (I'm reliably sure of this) and could log in to this website just as we can and post up a storm, just as we can.

I will admit Im not sure why they haven't done that already,(log in using a smart phone) Unless their contracts say they can only log in through company computers. Either way complaining about what is going on won't fix anything. It might **** the dev's off though.

really... went and racked my brain playin portal 2 for 2 hrs and still no update? i dont think its unreasonable to "whine" about leaving ddo if this isnt fixed til tuesday... 2 days of random cluster ****/ cant connect,outside source or not... is unacceptable.. if its an ip problem turbine needs to find a new one. 2 day crash is definately grounds for leaving game... it sucks,i love ddo,but if they cant get the **** together than thats all there is and its time to move on... this **** just keeps happening,and more frequently as additional content is released. theres some good ol ****in doom for ya. i just dropped 50$ on shadowfell,went for lunch and ***** broke... bs

One constant thing I learned over the years playing MANY mmo's is, if a company has more than one game it choose what game makes the most money and babies it and works like hell to keep it going and the other games become it's BIT*H and is treated like a rented mule where they ride it hard beat it then put it away in the barn and try to ignore it's problems. LOTR is their baby and DDO is the well 2nd one sorry for the truth but they I am sure get a bug in LOTR and BAM sucker fixed in a second DDO has a problem busy that sht deep under the rug and pray it either dies or stops crying.

LOTRO is also down most likely none of turbines product are up and working atm

I went to the store 3 times and got errors, was just going afk but decided to log off, when i got back it said installing pre-reqs ( i figure logging off would reset the store, silly me), been about 2 hours now. murphys law i guess

Look everyone they are working on the problem. All the complaining and whining like little babies ain't going to get the problem fixed any faster. Nor is acting like immature little brats going to help. When they are able to log in I am sure they will post something to let everyone know what is going on.

1st off LOTR is all down and its a newer game by a few years but I am pretty sure they have way more overall Population you still have 2 new
Lord of the rings movies coming this xmas and next year 2014 xmas and then the movie studio will probably have extended versions for all of the new movies just like before.
So my point is don't think you are right about them phasing them oust etc.
I brand new to game few days but I don't think turbine is going to be closeing this for atleast another 7 years, they have upgraded the game engine it does scale with Dx11 and they have had 2 expansions now the last 2 years, so I would expect new expansion like every 12-18 months now.

That's good to know. I hope they can keep it going. One of my favorite things about it is how it's been evolving. But I'm afraid that it can only evolve so far before it just becomes too expensive to maintain. Only time will tell what happens.

Did you actually level your toons the "legit" way, or through the numerous exploits they refuse to fix? If you didn't use the exploits, how did you feel about the fact that you are so much more behind than those that did use the exploits?

I did it "legit" by running my duo through the base NeverWinter story line quests/zones. That was fun & I recommend people go though it at least once though not sure that I would do it more than once.

I did not do any exploits and my gear and such is close to BiS so I am fine. We just group with those in our guild and no one exploits & we worked our way though the 5 mans and do teams in the large 40mans. Personally I don't look at it like a contest and get envy so didn't feel slighted though I am glad they have closed many of the exploits. To their credit they did roll back for the worst exploit on 'Caturday'...

I have a 5man multi-box team that is at 30 but I am not motivated enough to level them to 60 right now as I like my Tank-Healer Duo at 60 and that is enough to run with my guild mates.

EDIT: Also I do like the NeverWinter Foundry where people can create quests though the rewards aren't great the plots can be fun.

I dont get the backlash against those of us who are a bit ****ed? Some of us pay cash and expect to be able to play when we want, especially on a HOLIDAY weekend. Yes whining wont fix the problem, but surely this is still America where I have the right to expect to get what I pay for no? I truly dont care if its their fault or not! Its THEM who gladly accept our money and it best **** well be THEM who get off their asses and fix the problems wether it's their fault or not is irrelevant. Take my money? It's ur fault!
