You need an example? One word.
    Druid.

It hasn't been working out as they'd like from a design perspective, and the players will NEVER stop whining about it.
I'm sure the Devs all wished that they'd never opened their mouths about it in the first place. I sure do.

I'd love to see you guys resurrect some of the classic modules from ancient history and adapt them to eberron.

Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth and Temple of Elemental evil (with randomized traps of course!) come to mind.... (S1-4 are all excellent)

That would be spectacular for some of us old PnP players to experience these again in a different way...

Sora Katra's sister (bonus points if you know the name) can see the future. As long as the three hags are working together, opposing them and their scheming can only be done when they want you to, which is exactly what happened at the end of that quest.

They will only tell you what they care to. It's really quite unfair.

    By design.

Edit: Sora Katra is Sora Kell's daughter. Used wrong name in the original post.

ooh does that mean we are going to see the other 2 sisters at some point? Maybe even a trip to The Great Crag?

I'd like to see the Droaam series more fleshed out too

A falling floor that forces you to take a detour with some mobs for example, or a poison that gives you -5 debuff to all ability scores for 3 minutes, no save. (A good example is in Rainbow with the teleport traps that takes you to a separate lava room.). That would make disabling them more interesting. Now you have traps that either damage you a little, which is negligible, or maybe kill you outright on Elite, which is not very fun either. Kind of all or nothing.
I wholeheartedly agree with the idea of traps that, if disabled, allow for a 'shortcut' that shaves more time off the dungeon then searching and disabling would use up. Three cheers for that!

Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.

    Greetings Content Devs,
    *Wall of text*

Thank you for reading this thread, and yes, I hope you can read my post. I'll cut to the chase... *insert kiss a$$ remark here*, I really enjoy the contents you provide. I really do.

I just tried (yes, just this month) the Attack on Stormreach pack. I don't want to discuss the other quests, but I want to discuss the Summerfield District. Sorry to say this, it was kinda lame...

It wasn't chaotic, the immersion is meh. Believe me when I say, I am easily pleased, but when I expect a "Looting and chaos" on a district, I expect a little more. Also the portal part, when they want to breach the walls? For me it was lazy.

I know this is hard to ask, but I hope someday you can create a real invasion scene. Where there are hordes of attackers trying to breach the walls. Kobolds assault was more of an invasion feeling than the Summerfield District. But can we please have an invasion, without kobolds? *insert kobolds still hate you quote here, yeah i know*

I will definitely buy it, for that one quest, for 900 turbine points, not on sale. With no raid loot and even a little experience provided. Sometimes it is not for the loot or xp, but for the real experience. This is for me what DDO separates from other MMO.

    Cheers!

    Sora Kell

    Sora Katra

    Sora....?

I sense something like the mythological 3 witches with one eye and their cauldron... forgot the names(s) so I guess this trio wants to invade Stormreach.

    p.s.:
Anyone else noticed that names in DDo are often inspired by Hindi words? Sora Katra could be ''Dangerous woman''. Might be a coincidence though....

    p.p.s.:
Come on Devs, a little more than using fancy foreign language to cover things like this.

The Sisters of Sora Kell are part of the PnP Eberron storyline. They are described, along with the nation of Droam, in the Eberron GM guide. Anything done with them in our game had to be done in such a way that it doesn't violate the canon storyline.

When we were working on the Droaam content pack, (actually, it was probably just before we started, if my memory serves me correctly) we sat down with Keith Baker and had discussions about the Sisters of Sora Kell, the Droaam nation -- that entire setting. Everyone was very excited that we were doing Droaam, and Keith was very helpful pointing our parts of the canon that could work very well with our storyline.

In fact, to really get us in the mood, he DM'd a tabletop game for us set in Droaam. He had us play as the Droaam monsters. I was a Gnoll!

The real reason for the Droaam invasion was not to conquer Stormreach for expansion. That was just a cover to seize some ancient magic gizmo buried in that temple from Siegebreaker. The boss said it was "useful" you had killed the others, because that reduces the chance of them spilling the details on exactly what was dug up.

Note that the idea of attacking Stormreach for an invasion never made much sense... Xendrik is a huge place and they could've easily picked a spot that wasn't occupied.

I was wondering if you guys ever collaborated with him. Glad to hear that is a yes!

Now I really have to go run those quests sometime...

There was PvP. I critted someone's face off with a battle axe.

    And then I made Framework.

I have some pictures laying around here somewhere of Flimsy PKing Eladrin. That was a classic series of shots. And a very displeased Eladrin.

Coulda been worse. Flimsy could have been an ice savant and encased Eladrin in ice, then sorcerers would REALLY get it this next patch..

Now if I could only convince you to add in some bits from the Xendrik Expedition living campaign lines. That'd be nifty ...
