Some tasty items up in here.

Cyclonic Blast clicky will be a must-have for certain quests (Epic Fathom the Depths, I'm looking at you!) Enhancement to ranged attacks will be very nice for melee/caster chars who have to fall back on archery for some reason *coughQueenLailatcough*

Shadow Staff is just a sweet item. Alternative to the ever-elusive Woo-Woo Stick AKA Dreamspitter, and much more farmable. Plus HP drain

Crimson Chain is decent if you're having trouble getting those effects on DT armor

Hooked Blade having the previously-exclusive-to-Sever Limb Chopper is very nice as farming tome pages is a huge pain.

    And the outfit? Wow.

Oh, and there's a crappy trinket nobody will ever use.

Staggering Blow is an interesting affect.

I wonder if that is the precursor to the Warforged Juggernaut enhancement line

On another note, I am having a heck of a time getting the stonedust wraps.. already ransacked 2 toons.

I did receive marks for the end reward of the series.

Also, handwraps in the description in the crafting altar say they go to +5.. not sure if this will upgrade the stonedust to +10 stunning or not... has yet to be seen.

You kidding? They're great for arcanes! Grants proficiency, a much needed attack bonus, and sweet vorpal strikes to boot. Less good for melee, but with those bracers and the Bow Str bow a typical melee can do decent ronged dps now.

The devs are making ranged combat more accessible via items, which is a great move.

    Cheers,

very curious what it is, and as the only named option was an axe on my mechanic, i took it in case they fix it later.

Was disaponted that with running the entire quest chain with the help of 1-4 other chars (1 other for all, 4 other for harbor blockade), no one found anything in any chest except the night hag in the last chest. None of the other optional chests dropped for us, none of the end rewards gave anything, and for me, the end reward guy out in the plaza only gave me the one option. While i know that i was only playing on normal, that seems like a really low drop rate.

Edit: i did find the purple mark in one of the chests of the last quest, but still, that is a fairly sad drop rate overall. soemthing like 2 useful items out of around 8-10 chests)

Great that they're making it more accessible. Not so great if they're trying to do it by itemization.

Still, those bracers look pretty cool. Makes me wish there was a higher level version.

Can you clarify the crafting bit? The reference to above/below items is kinda confusing. One seems to imply "below" is the Staff of Shadow, yet Mark + 1 below + staff of shadow would be basically 2x staff of shadow - is that right?
Ghallanda - now with fewer alts and more ghostbane

    Item 1 + Item 2 + Mark = Item 1 with effect

    I hope this helps...

All crafting recipes state that it upgrades the Item List A items to +5 from +4, so other pre-craft stats might be subject to change as well. Information contained in this post, I got from reading the Crafting Interface on the Lamannia Sever. Feel free to mouse over the description of each crafting ritual and it will expand and show you this information as well.

    Part 1
Example: Stonedust Handwraps + Hooked Blade + Mark of Tzaryan Rrac = Stonedust Handwraps of Maiming

Item List A + Update 8 Item + Item List A Mark = Item List A Item with new Effect
Item List A + Gnollish War Bow + Item List A Mark = adds Crippling (chance to slow enemy movements)
Item List A + Ogrish War Axe + Item List A Mark = adds Vengeful (chance at rage)
Item List A + Staff of Shadow + Item List A Mark = adds Vampiric (1 hp life drain on hit)
Item List A + Hooked Blade + Item List A Mark = adds Maiming (extra damage on critical hits)

    Item List A:
Bloody Cleaver ~ Mark of Bal Molesh
Blade of Fury ~ Mark of Sheshka
Rocksplitter ~ Mark of Rehesh Turakbar
Stonedust Handwraps ~ Mark of Tzaryan Rrac

    Part 2
Example: Hooked Blade + Bloody Cleaver + Mark of Rhesh Turkbar = Bodyfeeder Hooked Blade

Item List B + Update 7 Item + Mark = Update 8 Weapon with new Prefix
Item List B + Bloody Cleaver + Mark of Rhesh Turkbar = Bodyfeeder
Item List B + Blade of Fury + Mark of Bal Molesh = Demon Fever
Item List B + Rocksplitter + Mark of Tzaryan Rrac = Destructive
Item List B + Stonedust Handwraps + Mark of Sheshka = Petrifying

    Item List B:
    Hooked Blade
    Staff of Shadow
    Ogrish War Axe
    Gnollish War Bow

*Edit* You were correct, I had a mistype in the first posting of this, was just throwing it out there to help people understand what was needed to add a certain effect to a weapon, or upgrade one.

I was wanting to make a Maiming StoneDust Handwraps, however I wasn't lucky enough to loot the handwraps, and I lose my VIP on Monday, and will not be actively playin DDO over the Holidays as I'll have my children visiting. So I give up. Could someone who is having fun and collecting, post a SS of an upgraded handwrap, with either vampirism or maiming? Thanks in advance!
