You know people who want to exclude based on guild affiliation are not worth running with in the first place. I have run on some groups with some real jack offs from some of the "acclaimed" guilds (in their minds), and you know what they have some pretty horrible players also or some real jack offs. Those are not the people I choose to run with. Reinforcing the behavior or accepting it is part of the problem.

Most people (99%) are pretty tolerant of others. Its the ones (forum trolls and elitests 1%) who sit in mommies basement all day slurping MT Dew and Ho Ho's that tend to be the worst. Bottom line if you don't like the Alliance don't participate.

However, I guess I totally fall into the category of people that don't generally run with the alliance groups, unless I've already got enough people in the party to carry any amount of dead weight thru the quest.

Sometimes you get a decent player, and sometimes you get a person who has no idea at all what to do, and has no interest in listening to directions.

You can get that exact kind of randomness with an lfm, without bothering to go thru a dedicated chat channel.

Well sometimes you don't know who you will get; however, you may get a vet that has been around for years and who used to run back in AUM with you, Saw, Zack, Happy, Zeff, Asia etc. and who has some experience.

Then again you may get what you said, but I think that can be said of many groups recently.

I know there are many of us who came from small guilds that folded or just did not have enough players on to a guild where we at least could get some more groups going. Like any, time is needed to teach and train.

I've been lax in replying to this thread, my apologies.

Regarding some confusion about being "part" of this guild alliance.
It's basically two things:
1. A shared chat channel that provides an extra resource to fill out a party.
2. A way to shoot the breeze during downtime with like-minded folks, outside the general channel.
No secret handshakes, no ninja assassins sent after "those that try to leave". Rather than a membership, the channel is like a radio station. It's an option only, and no one will be dis-included from groups if they choose not to.

Royal Bloodline came from the ashes of the old Bloodline Dynasty, and we've been keeping it in-house a lot while our newer members learn the raids and cement their status. Once that's set, we'll be using the channel for the last slot or two.

If the alliance suits you, very good; if not, also good. Enjoy your gaming your way.

Hey all, just thought i'd chime in during the server down time . I'm hearing somethin going on this weekend? That is this weekend and for the Alliance right? Maybe Mr. Ed can clear up the rumor.

Also, the thieves guild is going to make more of an attempt to have more available rogues in the future. We have a good base of classes now but i'm thinking a push for more availability would be good for the alliance. So if you need a rogue, we can try to be there for you most of the time. Expect some changes in the next 2-4 weeks....

I can say with a lot of certainty.. That although there may be a few members of chaosknights in the alliance channel, that the guild as a whole is in no way, shape, or form associated with the alliance.

Yes there is no formal association between the Chaosknights (My second favorite guild-name on server btw) with the Alliance (I will not post their name in "Alliance Blue" next time!), but a couple of players from that guild have utilized it is all, and have found Darkside to be as fun as we claim.

I would like to consider a prominent member of Chaosknights a friend. He is a young member who may remember my original trinity of toons: Stripe Elven Rogue, Ornbear Human Barbarian, & Richtorson Human Cleric.

Perhaps jozz summed it up best; the channel is just for fun and to help filling those last spots with friends of yours.
