Shared Bank to 30?

On Friday there is a sale to increase Shared Bank +10. So that will make it 30?

Guess I see on Friday.

Cost = 995

When I looked at the price yesterday in game it was 995 for +10 slots...and I decided not to buy until there was a sale. If the price is higher now then Turbine is back to its dirty tricks of raising prices just before a sale...

edit: just checked in game...current price is 995. So either it isn't really on sale Friday or that's not the price for the sale...

So you want me to pay another 995 for half as much space????

995= Shared bank (20 spaces)
= 49.75 TP per space
995 (shared Bank) + 995 (extra 10 spaces)= 1990 Upgraded shared bank (30 spaces)
= 66.33 TP per bank space

I thought value was supposed to get better the more you bought. Where is my local Turbine Sam's club or Costco so that when I buy more I get a better value. 10 extra spaces are not worth it to me. Maybe I just don't have enough stuff to share. In game money to mail a few things here and there is far better than real money for a lousy value.

Edit: Based on the numbers below from Vrangelya

1495 = Shared Bank (20 slots)
= 74.75 TP per slot
1146 = sale priced Shared Bank (20 slots)
= 50.73 TP per slot

So if you do not have the shared bank then now is really the time to get it.

I read it as

for F2P you can buy a shared bank slot (20 spots) for 1495 (or somehting close to that). There is a 20% sale for THIS item only makeing to 1146 I think.

The +10 spots in the shared bank slot is 995, is not discounted and adds to the P2P 20 we already get. I assume that after a F2P person buys the 1st 20 they can purchase the upgrade.

Personally I was hoping for 20% off of the upgrade! I hate spending points.....\

I think if Turbine reduced the price of the +10 slots to 495 instead of 995, they would get at least twice as many people buying it.

More like close to 100% of VIP's would probably grab it for a single months TP allotment. I know I would, on both accounts.

Agreed. For about 500 I can buy another L1 char to use as a bank who has 3x20+20 storage spots... so 80 spots that require a bit of work for 500 or 10 more convinient slots for 995... its a tough sell. I won't buy until/unless it goes on sale for 25% off or more.

The other thing that isn't clear is that it isn't "expand to 30" its "+10"...can I buy it multiple times? If it were a reasonable price I'd seriously consider bumping the shared space to 40 or 50.

It is currently intended to be a one time bump from 20 to 30. However, I would not be surprised to see that expanded.

I agree, both my account would do it.

At 995 it is not worth it to me.

I bumped mine from 20 to 30, and i saw it still in the store where i could purchase more. Not that i'm planning on it, but it seems as long as i pay, i can make it at least 40. Or am i wrong?

I would wager if you close the storefront and reopen it, the option would go away. The store shows things you were eligible for when you opened the storefront. IT SHOULD Dynamically update as you change your status, but as a number of players have found, it can take a while to do that, and they have purchased extra bonus spots and not gotten anything. A call to Support and the problem was undone, but it was a call and time from thier lives.

The store text was being too clever in my opinion, since it should have just read along the lines of Increase Shared bank from 20 to 30. Instead of Add 10 spots to shared bank.

I just bought it with my 1,000 VIP points for the month. With the Jester in, I've been using it for transferring the snack-food to a mule, and love the extra space.

What else was I going to spend the points on - overpriced Candy Canes in the Store? (utter FAIL on that one too, Turbine. Shame on you for taking em out of the Jester's loot tables to make em Store Only - and price em like you did. I don't want one that bad)

Agreed, probably more. I'd buy it at 495, probably not at 595, definitely not higher.

I paid 595 each over time for 3 more character slots, but the cost:value ratio on this seems skewed the wrong direction.

No actually the 20 shared slot price is 1495 TP on sale 20% off SALE Price: 1196 TP

the 10 extra slots is 995 TP, currently not on sale
