Default Normalize the "Price" of feat change, please. Thx.

Let me first say that I agree, in principle, with an increase in price for feat changes. However, a 10-fold increase was a bit brash, to say the least. In this game is not unusual for new rules every mod, new enhancements, etc. it should be a bit easier to swap feats to accommodate for such changes. I don't really understand it. You don't offer, at the moment, full re-specialization, yet you are making changing feats as difficult as you possibly can. Even with new imperfect shards dropping quite a bit, you still need a shipload of those to change one feat. Changing feats is as close to "re-spec" as we have and while I don't think it should be free or as cheap and easy as it was, the severe price jump cought a few of my toons completely off guard.

    Godspeed.

    Default 2nd that motion..

I second this motion. The gold price is remarkable. 500K gold for a feat respect...WOW! Don't make a mistake or change your mind...cause it's gonna cost you.

Additionally the Flawless Shard is impossible to make. And I always save the drops.
Before making Shard to respec wasn't too hard. Now it's next to impossible.

Imagine that's by design. Ahem DDO Store...which is fine. But lower the gold cost by 50% or more.

I've not tried to respec above level 16 yet.

Did they add a new type of shard if you are over 16? And up the price again? (Used to be around 15kpp, I thought.)

I think they actually added two levels, the highest tier (for lvl 17-20 chars) is a "Flawless" shard.

It's not the plat price per se ... it's the fact that now it requires a exceptional Syberys Dragon Shard = 10 x Syberys Dragon Shards.

    Godspeed.
P.S.: See other posts in this thread for more detailed shard pricing.

For some of us the plat price is a big concern. My highest level character is 16, and I have no experience in the "end-game" (reaver's refuge or amrath... done shroud like 3 times...) so I don't know what is most effective. I used to be confident that I could try things out and see how they worked... now there's that glaring price, in addition to the rare dragonshard, that are both pretty daunting to those of us who don't have numerous capped toons.

Oh no don't get me wrong. I can totally empathize with folks with little end-game experience. And I agree they should make both plat and Shard prices more affordable. Changing a feat shouldn't be so inaccessible.

    Godspeed.

Fred asked my level 13 character for an exceptional shard. I think it may be 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16, 17-20 now.

Making an item super grindy in game just to get people to buy it in store is a cheap trick that might make some quick money, but in the long run will drive off those same new players.

You would need to buy 10 of them in the store, 1200 TP's. Thats a big waste of TP's imo . .

Only if you wanted to change 10 Feats....

Look at the screen shot. 120 tps gets you a flawless shard that changes a feat for a level 17-20 character.

(It could still get ugly with feat chains. I would prefer if feats reset like Enchancements, rather than one at a time.)

How can you not see what the big deal is? Making things almost impossibly to make so that you have to spend TPs -- I guess not that different than changing game mechanics so that casters/healers are almost obligated to get mana pots from the store? Why do you think a lot of people is not taking their clerics into raids anymore?

Imagine, for instance, you had a THF melee. You went all the way to gTHF then a +3 DEX tome showed up and you reached the min reqs for gTWF. That's 360 TPs and now since your toon won't be fighting S&B, you don't need tower shield prof anymore. That's 480 TPs .. or the grind and storage nightmare of a lifetime. So it is a huge deal. Mostly for those of us who can only play 3 hours/night or so.

    Godspeed.
