Update 40 Sentinels of Stormreach

Regarding the update to crafted items from the Sentinels of Stormreach, it's a little bit disappointing to find that there is no mechanism in place for upgrading previously (already) upgraded items. Or at least, I haven't found it yet. Any items from the chain that I want now have to be be farmed again and upgraded from scratch which is very dismissive of previous time invested and materials spent. Note that materials may have also included astral shards which are now as good as gone.

That is an excellent point. I did neglect to consider that, even though I did read it.

The drop rates on that chain are some of the highest in the game. I do hope they didn't also nerf them along with improving the items into something useable.

There are several instances of chain rewards using old loot systems, like the waterworks chain still giving mithral shields. I like it that way.

I went farming last night in Tides just to check the change. Yup Got the old bracers. No sigils (ty)

Do the new weapons work in the s/s/s epic recipes? Not that there is much worth making but some old epic items are of interest to sentient builders

Yes. Internally, they are the old versions, just with a fresh coat of paint (and a lot less junk stuck to them)
