    Default DDO Monthly Challenge

    I see many threads where people are complaining there isn't enough challenge in the game.

    What if we had a single arena type quest (or a few that rotate each month) that has only EE settings from level 20 to 200. Each month we would have a contest to see what party could achieve the highest level with ties going to the team with the fastest time. It would be considered a 6-man raid so no spirit cakes or hirelings. The devs wouldn't worry about Dc, hp, damage etc. as the level got higher -it's meant to be really hard.

    There can be only one ... across servers.

    The winning team each month would get a special victory box with the following:

    1) highest tome in the game - random stat - unbound
    2) random iitem from the highest level raids in the game
    3) TP
    4) some other goodies

    Or more like a raiders box where you can choose from the best raid items / +6 tomes.

    There can also be a random loot chest and/or end reward just for completing. Maybe even some ingredients based on quest level that can be used to craft a few unique items.

    For the most part i don't think fine-tuning EE perfectly is possible, but this would give people something to shoot for and even people that aren't interested in the competitive aspect can use this as an extreme challenge.

    Default Secondary Benefits - This would provide useful metrics

    This type of monthly challenge would give the devs a real tool for assessing player power and specifically power creep over time. The data collected would enable to the devs to determine whether EE should be made harder - and if so how much harder.

    Interesting idea.

    I would only suggest that the rewards be unrelated to the rest of the content of the game. For example, I like your idea for unbound highest tomes as rewards, but I disagree adding in Raid items from other raids or Raider's Box type-rewards (let those raids be run for that).

    I'd do this soley for the glory.

    Points for:
    Highest level completion.
    Fastest completion.
    Least deaths.

    Bonus points if the devs managed to add timers on sp potions in this game mode too.

    I have the same sentiments. I really like the idea as a whole, but would prefer that you not specifically get a list from all the other raids. Maybe a special list of items made specifically for these contests, maybe that changes each month, and the lists would be presented as part of the contest description.
