    Default Regarding Guild Buff Times

I have noticed a peculiar inconsistency in the timing of stateroom-based buffs. My guild was receiving 3:30 buffs from using either the main deck buffing device or acquiring each from the individual stateroom areas. After patch 22.2, it would appear that using the stateroom buffs at source provides only 2:59 whereas the main deck device grants the expected 3:30 time. I have tested this using the Bath House, Collegium of the Twelve and Proving Ground staterooms. Each exhibits the same behavior.

Has anyone else encountered this inconsistency or have knowledge of it's intended operation?

Ours has went from 3.59 to 4.19 to 4.29 in the last week, so there's something going on there, if that helps.

I realize that amenity timers are based on guild level, but this is something quite different. We are getting two different durations (18% delta) from differing acquisition locations with no change in level. That seems off to say the least.

I had the same issue on my ship (Typhoon), in both large and small rooms. If I grab the buff in the room, it was exactly 1 hour shorter than the buffs at the buff bar. The buff bar provided the same duration as prior to Upadte 22.2 (4 hours).

Hum... I guess this is a bug which affects all buffs. Probably has something to do with the newly implemented guild level scaling feature. Certainly inconvenient. Definitely Turbine.

In the broad scheme of things though, if they're going to break something, I'd much rather it was this than something truly essential. 3 hours is still plenty for ship buffs in most cases, if not all. At least the buffs still work. I hope.

Heavens yes. Of all the bugs this one is quite minor and likely correctable if they ever get around to it.

Same for me. Amenity Bar gives me 4 hours, but belowdecks gives me only 3 hours.

Well then you realized something I hadn't payed any attention to. Lol. We've been leveling quickly and I didn't put the connection between the two. It might be an issue with your ship then. Look on the bright side, it least its not pink.

Yeah, I'm getting this as well... though at first I thought I was just simply not GETTING them belowdecks, since I was doing it on a character who already still had like 3:10 left on those lol

I'm in a small level 87 guild, and our buffs last 4 hours consistently.

If someone upgrades a buff, like the Stormreaver for example, the older buff will remain in your bar until the timer expires, but the new buff will be on the new timer with every other buff when you use the lever. If you've been upgrading buffs, you might be seeing the outdated timers. It can be difficult to figure out what you have without highlighting yourself and pressing Z, since the buffs fill up the entire top of the screen now. I often have to do this to see how long XP pots have left, since they get scooted off the screen after I refresh buffs.

I noticed some wacky time changes when the new buffs were introduced, but it seems to be pretty consistent now. 4 hours is more than enough to last me for a full evening of play, so I hardly pay attention aside from consumables.

We're investigating the issue where Guild buff durations may be different depending on where you get the buff.

No, this is entirely not the issue. It's not "outdated times", it's newly-applied buffs, done individually from below decks, not lasting as long as the full set from the Amenity Bar up top.

Hit the Amenity Bar: Everything currently on the ship is for four hours.

Go downstairs, switch out buffs (because not everything can fit on the ship) - let's say switch out Hag's Apothecary for Puzzle Box, hit the "Get Buff" button: Puzzle Box is only for *three* hours.

Switch out for another one (let's say Shrine to the Devourer): Also three hours.

Go upstairs for the Amenity Bar: Everything currently on the ship (including Shrine to the Devourer) is four hours; the first one you switched out (Hag's Apothecary) is for four hours; the one you switched to, and then switched out of (Puzzle Box), is still only three hours.

For me, the problem isn't the length of the buff, it's the needing to go through and switch everything out multiple times to rebuff the ones I don't just keep "permanently" more frequently - instead of doing it every couple of days, which four hours will easily last me, I have to do it every day for the ones I want (and given that I have them, I tend to want them *g*). And every time I switch out buffs, my game locks up for a couple of seconds and my resources skyrocket, so I don't *want* to do it every day lol

    And Varg, thanks for responding!

They seem to be even MORE borked after 23.3... I just tried to pick up fresh buffs with 1:57 remaining, and couldn't. The Amenity Bar works just fine (refreshes stuff to 3:59 as usual), it's just the individual buffs picked up below decks.

Did you die by any chance? I've noticed that some times when I die it drops me off on someone else's ship instead of my guild ship.

Yes, getting buffs from the individual amenities is beyond broken in U22.3. If you try, you get an icon with no timer but it disappears upon zone change or log-off.

Yes, but I didn't release, and I don't have a binder on my ship anyway. As I said, the Amenity Bar is working just fine, it's just the individual ones when switching them in and out to get everything.
