It's rare, but when required, they simply use the telekinetic eye to float the corrective lens in front of the eye that needs it. Telekinesis becomes particularly useful when mulit-focal lenses are required.

Default Do beholders ever need glasses? If so, how would that work?

You got me stumped on this one.

Maybe one big monocle for the main eye and the rest of the eyballs are on their own?

An engineering task of this magnitude clearly requires magic to work properly. However, when dealing with a beholder, magic can be... tricky. After years of work and many spectacularly failed attempts (one of which involved a pair of magical spectacles wearing a beholder) an anti-anti-magic field was invented, that allows a beholder to wear a set of magical glasses without dispelling them every 3 seconds.

Of course beholders never need glasses! The Lord of Eyes would never allow such imperfections in his masterpieces. You will be getting a visitor shortly to "discuss" your insolence.

If they have any vision problems, they go to a medical beholder for laser eye surgery. Glasses make their beams refract too crazily..

Default Do Beholders Ever Need Glasses?

All beholders have a rare* condition that makes glasses ineffective. If they ever need corrective vision, they must wear hard contact lenses.

*Well, rare for everyone else, that is.

Yes they do. They wear tiny monocles on their eye stalks.

When Beholders get old and become ancient beholders; they use glasses to amplify their powers even further. They get maximize and empowered spell points savings and cast Super duper empowered maximized disintegration for one-shot epic kills, anyone?

Why sure! Of course they need a few glasses now and then.

I mean, even a beholder can work up a thirst doncha know?

Like that rowdy bunch in Delirium for example--now those were some serious drinkers!

I don't know how many glasses they each put away but it was more than a few.

Yep, beholders definitely need glasses, and not half-full ones either...f you value your life!

I have no idea if they wear goggles, but it would be AWESOME to see one in DDO!

    Contacts...

    Monocles...

Reversed lenses for focused beam powers...

The lack of consensus shows decided favor towards the fact that they do NOT indeed ever need use vision corrective devices.

Of course they need! To increase the strength of their rays with a slew of funky effects. Finger of Death through a pair of pink glasses anyone?

One great big lense, very big, big enough for all of the eyes to share, that the beholder manipulates via telekinesis.

Angry You people shoujld be ashmed

Beholders will actually never need to get glasses. If they find an eye is having trouble, they just use the others to give it laser eye surgery!

In fact, the whole purpose of the beholder is to give creatures laser eye surgery. However, you people keep killing them while they try to just do a service for their community.
That's not lag, it's just DDO trying to become turn-based again.

They have very suave and debonair Monocles hanging from chains attached to their eyestalks.

    Beholders only use contacts.

They don't need glasses because they use contact lenses.
