DDO server Wedding package

hello all our group of friends has a idea we want to toss to the devs, and been directed here to let them see the feed back, or even to consider it, now as it was began my idea, tho many friends have done considerable research and idea crunching , all im askin ddo for if they use it is that the first one is mine and of course free. anyway here we go, we thought that if any other people would like theyre toons to marry they could come out with a "wedding package" in the ddo store. some people might think its silly, maybe not all though, as we dont, we play with lots of couples and most like the idea of a lil role play as fun. so what we have come up with is a few ideas to toss at the devs and heres the list...

2 different type packages a ebberon based, and a forgotten realms based, now i can already see some people complaining, i dont have that pack! well thats all covered in the package,

"wedding invitations", say groups of 25-50, more available at a price, that would give a pass to the wedding area, within paid packs area, no questing just allowed into wedding part, or even just the common area, who knows they might like the looks and purchase the pack. also the packages would have racial settins,forest for elves, caverns for dwarves, mebbe a underdark for drow,ect. area set up and decorated for the wedding, say a capacity of 300, thats a dev thing. to get to the areas, a special wedding airship, or planes shifter, ect

also the current /kiss just wouldnt do for a wedding kiss, so what could be done is a kissing klickie, that , when purchased (included) the package would allow the bride and groom to share "tender and timed kiss of say 5-10 seconds, and they can keep it for use in game(however to keep it from becomming a problem of abuse, the kiss , only works as a set, so you wont have people runnin round kissin people beside the spouse! (last thing we need is a divorce court, role plays ok but gotta make a limit to it somewhere, and this way nobody can be viloated in game, while couple can stil celebrate union ect.

in the wedding area there would be a gift chest, this way people could leave gifts for the couple in it, and only the couple can take stuff out.
either pack would have a world npc "official" to preform the marriage ritual, and to keep from offending/staying with site policies, a generalized ceremony, for the couples vows.

and heres one we need the devs to see if they can achieve it a "toast" either a set of klickies, or a optional emote so as in a certin area, say around the bar, a person could propose a toast, and everybody in the area of effect is offered a join/decline option, and once all have done so the group toasts together.


maybe a entertainers, area where npc bards are jammin away by a dance floor as well.

possible a small festival type mini quest for those who want something to do while celebrating, as ya can only eat so many tukey legs or drink dirty kolbolds b4 it gets a lil lame

well thats it, just let em know what we all think, devs give it a whirl plz, as why some r here to do nothing but slay, loot and lvl, there are those of us that still like a little romance and roleplaying as well, for as far as im concerened could have a better bash here than the real world (ickkk) and well, think bout it, least here its not gonna cost a friggin fortune to have a huge wedding, or have to fly people in from all over the world to attend. remember folks everybody loves a lover!! thanks for lookin.

Just to keep it real IF this suggestion is implemented, there also needs to be a Divorce Package.

As a 2x married/divorced person, I would expect the Divorce would cost several times as much as the Marriage.

The Divorce Package could only be purchased through the marketplace.

Actually both the bride and groom would need one so that Ms. Smith and Mr. Jones could become Mr. and Mrs. Smith-Jones (or Jones-Smith).

Its all too real life..... and I think real life religion is nonsense.

EDIT: Just to soften that up a bit.... I don't have a problem with RL religion, if it gets someone through their day then that's great. Just.... it doesn't fit into this game and would cause more confusion and conflict then it would resolve.

That you consider taking a LOOOONNNGGG break from DDO. You're starting to believe DDO is real. I would further suggest you find a new hobby for a while, like bowling or photography.

All in all, a useless suggestion that may only benefit the 14 roleplayers that DDO actually has.

ok apparently theres nobody here who has a clue about imagination and all too worried bout findin fault with anything that somebody else might want to to, no problem, later folks, u can go bowlin n maybe grade some english papers if thats your bag, me i did my time and now ill spend my quality time with my friends in game online and away from here i knew it was usless before i posted , all it seems to be is a site for the ornery and the faut finders to cry on. np i wont be back, id say have a nice life, but s it seems that wont happen.

ok folks im in middle of movin around the country so havent been on top of this like i planned, apologies for that but nice to see some people with pos.imput,

as for those with the tude of has no purpose, well if u dont want to participate im glad cause u and your attitude is just what my gamming dont need. as for the person askin bout the "other community ,whatever floats your airship,

as for real religion, the thought never entered my mind if you mistook it or i unknowingly made it seem like that please understand under no circumstances any real religion here ty, bad nuff got goons knockin on my door sellin it too, as for the person (im not mentionin any names here as i cant tell em exactly what id really like too) if u want to be miserable in your gaming as u must be in real life i would like your game toons names so i make sure not to be in any quests with u as u must really be depressing to play with, must be a mega zerger...

as for the person mentioning the 14 roleplayers here, sigh ,there even a few guilds on certain servers devoted to nothing but ,so if you didnt play pen and paper u might not understand the roleplayin part, anybody can hack n slash but the following of the role is as much a art as acting in movie, well if u cant see it u never will is all, just know ive been here a while and alot of players would like a bit more but its in specific groups its not totaly nessasary but it is fun when u have few that do. as im one of those. again if your not interested in participating GOOD! im not askin u too im askin the devs to make it a option i can purchase if i want is all and the ability to share/show people who never did roleplay what can be done with a little imagination is all ive got the whole wedding party already even plenty of guest(more than a raid can hold)

so i figured if i can buy a way for my friends list to come ok and if a few peep who r creative and happy types, along with romantics who'd wanna show up even better. and just one more thing to any devs reading this response:

this negative feedback is exactly why id like a way to send ideas to the thinkin group of devs, not post it here for the local whiners to have the chance to rain on the parade, theres enough negative in the real world, i play the game to escape that, and only come here when game isnt, tho i usually have to leave as i detest petty carpings by peep who dont appreciate how much programming n code is behind all this. ive spoken with people at turbine and they have all been very pleasant,and as helpful as policy allowes, unlike people puttin time in at other jobs who dont even have to ability to try pleasantness,or even to try to do the job properly. folks u hate your job in reality change it , cause if all you have to bring to the world of escape is negativity, u r the one who needs to reshape your reality more than escape for a while.

well now im startin to ramble so im outta here with one last thing to say: u folks at turbine are great, find us a way to give u feedback without these forums, for peeps that cant leave reality behind for a while have nothing to offer to the game anyway, ive other ideas for the game that would improve play, this one is important to me and few others ,but after the bashin this got i wouldnt post another here for the simple reason they cry bout enough as it is ,theyll be off on a different more unimaginitive mmo soon enough.. me im here to stay, unless of course they take over.which would be a total shame...

I have played a game with marriages in it.
More nonsense then it is worth make a big thing out of it 2 weeks later they want to be divorced.

For here meh. In swg they had some spectacualr weddings of course you could have cosutmes done up decorate a house.
Plus they had event stuff you could use and cant forget the bands(had a character who was a member of a band and we played lots of events) plus you could exchange rings and have your characters married.
