I once read that in PnP, Warforged could modify their bodies to some extent in order to give themselves new abilities or attach weapons. Why not have something like that in House Cannith?
As a warforged, talk to the NPC in front of the body shop in House Cannith, a Warforged named Dorris. If you have some platinum and a dragonshard, you'll get the option of adding a "body feat" to your character. There are three slots: Hands, Shoulders and Body. The Body slot would let you change the type of plating you have, including a "Hardwood" body that would give you 20% healing amp and count as medium armor. The Hands slot would allow you to add a material type to your unarmed attacks, or spikes (1d6 piercing damage) to the same. The Shoulders slot would let you choose between shoulder spikes (1d6 piercing damage when struck in melee) or Adamantine pauldrons that increase your innate Warforged adamantine damage reduction by 3.
As a further bonus, your character will get a free oil change, which gives you a 10% circumstance bonus to running speed.
There is a slight hazard, though. If you try to change your "body feat" slots, but don't have the money or the dragonshards, Dorris will get annoyed and cast Grease on you! :P
