Default Procs - are they going off often enough?

Okay I spent the weekend looking at one specific issue and I am pretty sure there is an issue; are procs going off often enough?

I noticed this on Friday and took a couple of days to watch and then this morning ran a full blown test.

Green Steel Lightning Currently on live this is about 1.5% proc chance, on Lammania I had at best .5% chance.
Epic Torc, currently on live this goes off regularly roughly 4 to 5% chance, not sure it went off once in two hours of scouring the Devil Battlefield.
Existential Stalemate, currently on live this is about 1.5% proc chance, on Lammania in well over an hour in he Devil Battle field, letting a single devil beat on my character with a Cleric Hireling, it did not go off once. Poor Haystack kept running to the gullet trench shrine to get spell points back. I did not recover a single SP.

Anyone else notice either similiar or different results.

I should note that there is a potential that I am unlucky, however I believe I have enough data points to say something is a miss here.

I havn't had a chance to test in on Lamania however your procrates are off.

    LS is indeed ~1.5% chance
Existential stalemate (conc opp) is ~4% for health, ~4% for SP
Transform Kinetic energy (torc) should be around ~15% procrate.

If you are never seeing procs of torc or conc opp despite being hit regularly over a long period of time I would definitely suggest bug reporting it.

Hope this isn't some kind of stealth nerf.

I think what you mean to say it... "There is no intentional change logged for proc rates." That is where bugs come from, unintentional ripple-effects from changes that "shouldn't affect anything else". Famous last words of a developer.

I didn't do any actual measuring, but I was wearing both a Torc and Existential Stalemate and seemed to be getting less processing as well. I thought I noticed it most when wearing both at the same time (like they were cancelling each other out if both tried to process at the same time).

I also went on live this weekend and it seemed I had the same issues when wearing both. I was sitting in WizKing and didn't get a process for several hundred hits (making sure I did take the point of damage).
Oh, that's easy. I didn't farm them. I just cheated. -Meghan

I've noticed a reduced rate since the last update on live. I've also noticed that things seem to work properly if I swap items out and then back in. However, I haven't done extensive testing.

The "dice" are loaded. It's not the proc chance. For example, in combat, you'll notice how you might roll very low many times in a row, to a point which is statistically impossible if it was actually random. It's not random, or it is not as random as a random number generator.
More interestingly, which I have tested over and over, I notice that Concordant Opposition procs more often under certain circumstances. Piercing damage seems to cause it to proc more often than anything else, time and time again. I've gone to areas where piercing is more popular (such as the Vale of Twilight), and areas where it happens less (like Demon Sands).

Agreed, 80% of all my procs from Conc Opp items are from archer damage the rest mostly from slashing

I did check this on live. What was wierd is that certain mobs seem to process more often. I was in Gianthold and the Ranger archers in Foundation were processing a lot more than the skeleton archers in WizKing. Each was doing at least 1 point of damage after DR, but I was getting over 15% process in Foundation and less than 1% in WizKing. Maybe there is more than just the pierce damage on their arrows that is causing an issue in calculating the process rate?

I will have to head back into WizKing right after a foundation run and see if there is a difference. Maybe it is my equipment or just the luck of the dice rolls.

Every time there's a patch I go out to the devil battlefield, grab a few orthons and a couple archers, and let them fire at me. I just like to know if a nerf/stealth nerf is coming, which I don't doubt will happen at some point. Easiest way to test for me. After just going out the proc rate for torc and for con op (individually) seem the same as on live. Getting tons of sp from the torc, the con op seems to have a much higher chance for temp hp then sp, but that might have just been chance.

Whether 2 con ops still function as they do on live idk.

The devs previously were going to nerf madstone boots. My worry at that time is they would try to nerf the torc at some point. I mean if you can regen spell points you aren't buying mana pots from the DDO store right?

Has anyone else done any testing on lamania regarding the torc/con-op?

dev said it was 'unchanged', which tells me it wasnt nerfed, if it's not working properly it's probably just a bug, and if it made it to live, the outcry would be so loud and brutal that it'd immediately jump to the top of the 'fix it' list. i REALLY dont think the devs would nerf such a large portion of their playerbase while building up to the expansion.

besides, it's not their style- the 'torc nerf' would probably be more along the lines of 'just make everything hit harder'.

we all know the torc is breaking the game though lol. i have a torc on every one of my blue bars and that thing may as well be a shrine in any quest with a couple archers.

Yes... I would say some people love making conspiracy theories about the ddo store... being a business doesn't necesarily make them nerf a very difficult to get item not everybody has...

My comment was ment as tongue in cheek.

If there is a change it most likely is an unintended bug. We have all seen how things that seem completely dis-similar can be affected by changes to the game code. However, who would have thought they would have wanted to nerf madstone boots? They didn't go through with it because of the outcry....but still.

I think the devs know if they nerfed torcs they would have some very unhappy gamers to deal with....

Given how long I farmed ADQ on my clerics to get them (and I still haven't even seen one drop, for anyone, on one of my clerics in almost 20 runs)... yeah, I'd be a "bit" unhappy if they nerfed them. Way more unhappy than I was when they nerfed auto-crits on held mobs, or when they nerfed FoM so that it no longer blocked Earthgrab, or any other recent nerf you'd care to mention.
