    Greensteel blanks
    Crafting items
    major mnemonic pots
    Huge bags
Astral Diamonds in groups of 5
Larger essence groups (5 is not enough to do any crafting)

Face it, the silver gold, plat in the quantities you give is not worth that much.

These are more useful to newer players:
Rare spell scrolls (ones not in the stores - check ddowiki for the list)
    Collapsed portable holes
    Wand of blur, displacement, stoneskin
    +5 thieves tools.

Once per week, an ultra-rare (+3/+4 tome, epic shard) would be nice.
Oh, that's easy. I didn't farm them. I just cheated. -Meghan

    Astral Diamonds
    True Hearts
    Greater Hearts
    Lesser Hearts
    Major Pots
    Epic Tokens
    Large Ingredients
Various Sizes of Shards of Power
Maybe once a month the odd named item: Muck's Doom, Ioun Stones, Firestorm Greaves, etc?

That said, I've never won anything so I'm not too bothered by 5 x Lesser Good Essence!

i would love to see bags in the lottery. you can never have to many bags, especially with how hard it is to keep stuff straight.

another great option would be turbine points or coupons for the DDO store.

Useless stuff like the Red Armour Kits that you've put in the store at 50% off. Put up a lottery for them. Also put up a lottery for other seasonal items like cocoa, ice skates etc.

What would |I like to see in the lottery?
    1) just my toons that I have not deleted,
    2) maybe a collection of non-shroud ingredients( watchers eyes, enough mats to put shocking burst on a weapon)
    3)TP
    4)free character slot
5)something absolutely unique to the lottery, that cant be ground/built/crafted.
    Willibold,Hesteban,Tooflower,Commabayou,Skummspawn ,Machiavehlli,,and Dramoh.
Look out for them in-game.Tyrs Paladium on the big G ftw

Things I would like to see in the Lottery. I'd like to see the "Mystery Box" be something other than a repeat of the small shroud ingredients lotto. I'd also like it if they provided harder to grind items for the small guild/solo players.

    Abbot Seals
    Stormreaver Seals
    Large Shroud Ingredients
Dragon Scales (black, white, blue and red)
    Planar Shards (SubT)
    Power Cells

If they were part of the mystery box lotto then they would be infrequent and significant. I left shield fragments and tome pieces off since they will be more plentiful soon.

I'd see this as a buy in to encourage people into content they may not have/may not frequently run/may not be able to obtain due to lack of freely open PUG lfms posted for a particular quest.

I stopped using "select all" awhile ago because the lottery win window got so long it was impossible to quickly scan through. Most of the items aren't worth the effort, including essences, coin (including festival coins), small shroud items, etc.

Items I still try to hit:
    Reincarnation Hearts (of course)
Guest passes (although there's a problem on this if I get a package I don't own)
Epic tokens (but its been a long time since I've seen these)

    Things I'd like to see:
Challenge items: Universal tokens, time bonus, etc
    Large shroud items
    Planar shards
House C Greater Cells, Mystical Cells, and Martial Cells - However, make those won at lottery BtA
+3 Tomes (BTA BTA BTA MUST BE BTA NOT BTC)
    "Best" SP pot.

If you were willing to create new things:
    1 month VIP
Time limited content packages (But like days, or weeks, not 90 or 180min, and self usable, or transferrable)
Things you can with through favor: 32pt, drow, fvs, artificer - but would work like normal favor won items, for that server only, etc.

    Default My 2 cents

Previously posted here http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php...ighlight=lotto in a mostly ignored thread.

Things I'd like to see pulled from the lotto prize pool:
    -Craftable repeating crossbows
    -normal arrows/bolts

Thing I'd like to see fixed:
-Quivers. (My GF and I have won at least 4 of these, but none have ever shown up in the mail )

Things I think should be considered for inclusion in the lotto prize pool:
    -Challenge tokens
    -Armor kits
-Spell kits (Scrolls + inscription mats)
    -Summoning gems
-More kinds of crafting mats (motes, watcher's eyes, collectibles, vale mats, house c, etc)
    -Comsumable stoneskin clickie/pot
    -Spell components
    -Cookies
    -Pumpkin bombs
-Power Ball Lottery Winner! (This would require some coding, but I envision 1 PBLW/day. It would be something like a +2 luck bonus on a 12 hour running clock that showed up as a larger than normal ioun stone animation and would be listed as a visible buff on character examiniation).

I believe these should be interesting, fun, not unbalancing for the game, and not adversely affect DDO's bottom line.

    Default Well

my thoughts are that it should be things from the store(hearts banks etc etc but the good itmes and never low stuff) or top end items etc.....never lowbie stuff or things worht 100plat to buy

NOW for the important part.....they should charge 1 tp per entry daily and VIP get it free......(and by entries i mean toons each can enter once and thus 15 toons=450tp to enter in everything all month....and it would give a real benifit to being VIP)

they would make money with people playing if the rewards are good

    Default Lesser heart +20

a lesser heart that would change 20 levels you could make it cost 4000ddo points or 6000 i BET people would buy it. For people who want completionist BUT REALLY hate playign 1 class that way they can skip it but would still have to level up to 20 in some class first before they can lesser res out.

    Lightbulb

I would like to see a "fix my server" lottery, one for each hour of unexpected down time.

Here's how it should work: each times a server is down for more time than expected a lottery is proclaimed. The winner will be able to decide which character recieve the prize and also the prize itself among 3-4 of different types.

    Anyone like my idea?

Remove the "Select All" button, so that everyone has a fair chance at getting an item he might need.

What's the point in trying to win a Heart of Wood (or anything else, really) on a character created to achieve a favor milestone on a server you have no intention to play on? You have 20 capped toons who might need a True Heart of Wood? Good, go ahead and sign them for the lottery, but leave out your lv4 bank mule and characters you don't care about!

Seems like pots are... I know I've trashed BTC haste pots on my bard (who has haste) and BTC barkskin pots on my L13 ranger. I've got a BtC renown elixir sitting on my monk which I assume I got from a lottery, since I can't imagine buying it (although conceivably, I got it from the Risia ice games, I dunno if that's a possible reward there).

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk here, but... if you can't fix MyDDO to remove characters, can we at least get a way to block them from lotteries? I know I have several existing characters who I don't particularly want to win, ever. A few characters on a server where I no longer play, a couple of characters who're solely for bank space, some characters I created as a VIP but no longer have access to after downgrading (not an issue now, but if I downgrade again it will be), etc. It's simply not worth it to go through and uncheck them (even less so to go through and check the ones I want) but having a "enter this character in lotteries" setting (similar to the "Make this character public" option) would be awesome.

Oh, and how 'bout "select all for this particular lottery" button? Y'know, for those times when you have a dozen possible lotteries, and you want to enter 10 of them, but two of them you really don't care about? So you "Select All", then uncheck the box next to, say, the hair dye lottery, and *poof* Your 23 characters across four servers aren't entered in that, theoretically increasing the odds for people who actually want that Electric Blue Koolaid hair dye.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. A couple of things:

Yeah, we probably won't be giving away unbound +4 tomes, raid loot, named weapons, epic items, etc. Ultimately, these things should probably be earned in-game. That said, we do have some powerful stuff in the lotteries (Astral Diamonds, Epic Dungeon Tokens, True Hearts of Wood), and will take many of these suggestions as possibilities to add in the (hopefully near) future.

The craftable repeating crossbows were added based on a previous round of player suggestions, so we'll probably keep them in as well.

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk here, but... if you can't fix MyDDO to remove characters, can we at least get a way to block them from lotteries?
Unfortunately, we are not able to do this.

Remove the "Select All" button, so that everyone has a fair chance at getting an item he might need.
What do folks think about this idea, particularly if we had better lotteries that ran for longer periods of time, with a larger number of winners, but less lotteries per day? So we'd ultimately have better daily lotteries and less per day, and ultimately more winners per day.
Have fun, and don't forget to gather for buffs!

As a player with max toons on my first account and over 10 on my second.

It's a terrible idea, stop thinking about it, move on and back to items.

You could just do less, but better lotteries per day with more winners per lottery whilst keeping "select all".
