what is up with the new mana and hp bars? i cant even see to heal anyone. they need to change that asap, also ran a Epic von today very hard and not even worth it on the chest turn up the drops guys

So yes, color me disappointed as well. I'd be raging more, but at least they un-borked my armor kit.

I think you need to press the F1-12 keys now to highlight people from their HP bars, until they fix it.

Haven't played my healer yet, but I'm not a fan of the new hp/sp party display either. All the healers I've had in group so far have been complaining. It is very difficult to see and the names are spread out over a larger area. The only 'fix' I am aware of is to turn off the text inside the bars, of course this eliminates the numerical value from your own character's hp/sp too =(

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Improvise...Adapt....Overcome!!! Peeps you have, once and for all, to mature, stop already with all this crying posts; "... i cant even see to heal anyone. they need to change that asap...", they have to do a hot fix just to you, just becouse you cant think by yourselfe?! Thats so wrong ppl!
Ok, i will drow you a picture: go to options -> ui settings. Show vitals bar values off; show vitals bar percentage values off; show large vitals bar off... there you go, you have what you want, now i hope you can see who needs a heal

there is a real problem with this and its not the numbers,its the size of the actual hp bars inside the character bars.
they are too small to see who need healing and watch the screen to play the game.
im sorry to say freddy this is not moaning about nothing.
thelanis has been dead at hi levels these past 2 days.

Definitely. Used to be able to see the whole party 'at a glance'..

Now it's look up, look down, derp I made a wrong turn because I was trying to find the right bar to heal...


I have yet to try to heal while drunk however. I have a new thing to blame I guess.

I've not had a problem selecting any member of a party. The thing I do have a problem with is when my hirelings bar is a smidge close to my other bars I am unable to click any of my boxes without having to move the hirelings bar away.

The funniest part is when my personal hit point bar is showing something totally different than my hit point bar on the party bar.

Do you play a healing class? Is it not simply a matter of familiarity. For a large number of players, the new setup makes it significantly more difficult to determine who needs to be healed and to select characters for healing.

Just because the bars are fine for you does not mean others don't have valid issues with them.

I do. I've got a FvS I've been working on. I'm not saying others don't have have issues, I'm just saying they're so used to the old setup that they're complaining before giving them a chance.

Have you heard of Lamannia? It is where you can test these things to decide if you like it or not. People complained about it for a month and it still went live without the option to revert to the old style.

Have you played LOTRO? Those of us who had may already don't like the large portrait stuff and bars with a lot of wasted space in between. Yes you can turn it off the portraits, but now you have this giant invisible buffer around the bar that blocks clicking other things as well as not being able to drag it into a corner.


Maybe you should quit jumping to assumptions about if we never played with these annoying bars.

I'm not saying no one has complained, but the complaining got REALLY loud after the update; all too often all I see on these fora are people moaning and whining about meaningless things (like wings costing 10 SP instead of 5 SP; really?). I'm just tired of seeing the same thing over and over and over....

No, I don't play LOTRO. One MMO is enough for me.
