There is a law against using fertilizers on your lawn because it destroys the environment for everyone else.

They ignore those rules just to grow a bigger lawn and "brag" about how innovative it is to fertilize in that manner.

I don't care if they have a bigger lawn, I just hate how the are fertilizing my environment.

Yeah, use the correct word for fertilizer and you get it.

True, you can go to another game and s*** on that world all you want.

In this game, it isn't allowed to spam as people have been banned in the past for it.

It is very frustrating at times. I usually stop playing my characters sometime in Gianthold, and work on a different one, since you need epic gear and prior knowledge of a quest to join a party at that level. There are exceptions of course, but generally the whole experience leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I have about 10 characters level 10-15, but none capped.

The bottom line is that we are all here to have fun. What is the problem?

*turtles up against the incoming assault*
The problem is that you haven't found the right people to run with. I'm running a melee TR through gianthold right now with two friends - one on a healer and one a caster. Pick your favorite neglected toon and join us. (Anything you want. all the bases are covered) We will show you the quests and be happy to answer any questions. PM me here on the forums with your usual game times and toon name. We should be on tomorrow (US Eastern time zone).

Pages and pages of "this is why I don't pug" and "noobs are why I only do guild runs" not to mention thousands of post consisting of nothing more than "how the noob ruined my run" Fine people don't want to play with new players so they got together to form there own guild.

People should be happy right? They got what they wanted. But no now the new players have something cool and we can't have that! No they must go suffer in obscurity untill we grudglingly allow them to the privilege running with us.

A guild full of new players does not affect you in any way. Nope not one little bit. They may have gone and done something diffrent from the standard method of building a guild, but again I say this does not affect you.

Go play the game. It's fun.

    Cool

I have no problems with helping new players learn the ropes in this game and the guild that I am currently in Foecleaver is willingy accepting new players; as long as said new players are willing to listen. That is where 90% of the rage comes from when dealing with new players is the fact that they refuse to listen to sound advice from more experienced players. In my personal opinion the guild renown is creating a rift that otherwise wouldn't be there for instance if the newbs had formed up and created a guild before guild renown we would have all been dancing in the streets instead of shaking our fists. I have begun having sudden flashbacks to the couple of months that I played WOW with all the my guild **** floating around. Guilds shouldn't be about prestige it should be about friends with common interests having fun and while the perks that guild renown bring are nice are they truly worth it all in the end if it turns us into another version of WOW.

    Hi Welcome
Patronizing, Acctually I didn't tell anyone what they are far better off doing.

    / Patronizing on

    Developmental Stage
    & Approximate Age

    Intuitive Phase
    (4-7 years)

Speech becomes more social, less egocentric. The child has an intuitive grasp of logical concepts in some areas. However, there is still a tendency to focus attention on one aspect of an object while ignoring others. Concepts formed are crude and irreversible. Easy to believe in magical increase, decrease, disappearance. Reality not firm. Perceptions dominate judgment.

In moral-ethical realm, the child is not able to show the principles underlying best behavior. Rules of a game not developed, only uses simple do's and don'ts imposed by authority.

All new players do not refuse to listen. The idea that you can lump all new players into one category is simply misguided. Some are stupid and won't listen to good advice and some are not, just like vets. Every single veteran player was new once . At one time all of us sucked at this game (some, like me, still do ) Everyone here made gimp builds, screwed up someone's run, and disregarded advice that they later realized they shouldn't have.

This idea that new players refuse to learn is utter cr@p. Most want to play the game, have fun, and get better at it. Stupid is not somehow relegated to new players. Stupid does not discriminate.

You are right Angel I should not clump all new players into one category and heck I sometimes still make a newb mistake; but after running in countless pug groups I can tell you that there is always atleast one newb that will have you wishing you can put your hand through the mic and rage choke them a day. Sooo, for the most part your more experienced players do only run with guildmembers and friends in order to avoid the rage that a newb might inflict upon them; but in the end you are right we cant expect the newb population to acheive anything if we isolate ourselves from them. All my toons are gimp and I'm proud of that fact and any advice you give disregarded or otherwise is welcome.

I also am thankful for shaamis' input (and his signature).
+1 for exploding monitors. If someone doesnt like adult language they should turn the filters on!

Also for your sentament about those who play for fun, I don't understand why anyone would play anything for any other reason. Even the word "play" is indicative of fun. If this game is the only way someone can get an ego boost I can't imagine what their real life must be like.

I am just hoping that people are able to see that the purpose of games is to relax and enjoy. If you put too many requirements and contingencies on how something has to be enjoyed, you limit your enjoyment. Obviously, there are always some requirements, but too many can become a problem.

Is the amount of "shh" you have, or where you are pointing at relevent to the degrading relationship of new players and veterans? I'm confused now
