    Default Question for Tarrant

    Dear Tarrant,

I know you can't discuss disciplinary action, but I have a hypothetical question for you:

If the leader of some random guild were to be...say...temp or perma-banned in game, would the Successor become the leader? I have no real reason for asking. It's just a random question that popped into my head and now I must know the answer...really

I think some people mentioned that after 90 days of inactivity the successor can 'Disown' the leader? Not sure about this, just some things I've heard.
In case you didn't already notice, my posts that end with must NEVER EVER, under any circumstances, be taken seriously.

He will probably answer you if you PM the question to him.

This^, in so many words, is how you say time and feedback on Lamannia are wasted.

After some period of time, I think it's 30 days (maybe 60), the "usurp" button will appear for the successor. Clicking it will make the successor into the leader.

Thanks Qwijy. I believe that's true for inactivity, but I'm hopin...err wondering if the mechanism for an account ban works differently

The successor would not automatically become the leader - the leader would need to be usurped for that to happen. Hypothetically.

Thanks Tarrant. Not what I hypothetically hoped for, but I appreciate the response. Hypothetically.

If you have been designated as successor and they haven't logged in for 3 weeks, you can usurp. If they haven't designated a successor, it can't happen.

Hypothetically, I have done this on my founder's guild due to a 25 year hiatus.

But if they designated their own alt as successor, or no successor, then the guild is SOL if the guild leader leaves the game or is suspended.

If it wasn't for airships that wouldn't matter much, break and reform the guild, but now...that could hurt.
