Default Please make this easier to understand.

One of the developers has something in their signature I simply don't understand.

What does 1d6 mean? Is that like a number between 1 and 6 randomly generated? Can you please simplify it and make it more accessible to non D&D players? Maybe give me a number range that I can understand. I'd hate to see someone driven away because they don't understand how numbers work New players are the lifeblood of this game!!

Also, wouldn't it be 2d6? To cover raids and such. And if you're arguing with yourself over loot... well.... you have bigger issues.

Wouldn't it actually be 1d5+1d7 to cover raids and such?

if not raids then just groups would be 1d5+1.

    just asking

    I don't believe you can have 1d5 or 1d7. If it's not a polyhedron, it's not D&D.

Meh, it would be 1d12 to cover raids and such. We could just push Oddlived in there, wait until the screams stop, thenopen the door, or we could all roll 1d100 and the highest 11 rollers get to pike loot after he solos the raid.

    * We have collectable bags, mind you, even hireling folders, but can I have that 6-pack for my potions please?
    * Having already a past life on the dieng EU servers, I rerolled here and started from scratch as I like the game and the community, so lets see what awaits me here

Nope. One is enough to start loot drama.

Example: "Waaah, waaah, why won't X drop for me?"

If a tree falls alone in the forest, we still get to hear about it on the forums.

Also, since DDO is a computer program, you can have 1d3.14s even.

Try to picture what that die looks like.

Hint: it's a lot like pie.

No, in this case you'd be using the oft forgotten d12.

Raiding in MMOs is 1d12 players pretending to like each other long enough to start drama over raid loot

And yes, 1 player can cause drama due to the fact they make think a particular item sucks, or they are a fleshy and got a docent, and vice versa over armor.
