Default Please fix NPC Dust Mephit Swarm Spawners

Recently, players have lost the ability to have more than one active summon at a time (like dense stone elementals).

As far as I can tell, equally recently, those enemy NPCs that summon Greater Dust Mephits have been given the ability to summon an unending supply of them.

Examples include that one guy in the Maze of Madness. Someone had an Earth Elemental summoned, and it stood, staring the guy down at the gate... in reponse he summoned about 50 or so Mephits (screenshot to be added when I get home) and caused Red Alert for the rest of the quest, due to the amount of Mephits he spawned.

Another example is the named Gnoll in the Vale of Twilight. He will summon Mephits non-stop, and it will raise Dungeon Alert faster than Doggi in the Monastery.

Yet more examples... The numerous Gnolls in the Crucible that like to fall off the top of the maze and then all start summoning unending streams of Mephits.

So yeah, please fix this, and quickly. Thanks =)

I noticed this To. I helped a few buddies run crucible the other day and it was crazy. Holy mephits batman!!!

I find gnoll in vale has always had his trusty army with him. Have not had any problems with him spawning any more then usual. I just go after him with my Vorpol axe and hope i land a crit FAST. But I was surprised at the army in Crucible maze. Made finding the three rune pieces so much harder.

I did not really think this is a bug mind you. Just cuzz we cannot summon endless monsters does not mean a npc enemy cannot. After all he is a summoner, It is his only self defense. That and endless ice storms. I figured they just made it a bit harder on purpose. ? idk?

Is that a hint of sarcasm there?

No, they help us organize our work. Multi-tasking is a lot easier when you have written and detailed reminders about things you should not forget to do.

When I'm sarcastic you wouldn't confuse it with anything.

what he's trying to say is there's a development process, bug reports are a big part of that process. demanding something be done on forums is not

i would like to take this moment to talk about BUG #14823 the removal of nat gann from the stormreach marketplace

Was on my barb with a weak group in Crucible the other night and iped in the maze as 2 gnoll casters decided to descend upon us and spam mephits. Between the self-healing and ever increasing damage and fog from the mephits we just couldn't take both casters out.

It is very annoying, but not unmanageable with some forewarning and readiness (and a healer who can roll with difficult situations).

Is the mephit spamming a bug in the Vale? I attempted to kill Mr. Happy solo for the first time on a melee, but was lagged very badly by a large number of Mephits. It was a 10 minute battle until my cleric hireling finally died, but it really has been the only lag I've had affect me this badly. It got to the point where the controls were unresponsive for 20 to 30 seconds. I knew he summoned several before, and rarely have had a problem on my sorc fighting them.

I have to write JSA's (Job Safety Analysis) before starting any work while on-site.

The only time I have had to refer to one was when a Pilbara Death Adder crawled out from under the scanner fitted to the railway track that I had started to remove and under my tool kit (the JSA had the snake handlers call sign on the radio).

Pity I had left the JSA in the tool kit....

Well I guess next time your JSA will have something in there about the risk of a snake sleeping on the JSA and what controls you will need to put in place. Maybe something like have a second copy somewhere?
