Default Launcher splash screen seems to be frozen

Okay it seemed to download the new splash screens and what not then called for a restart of the launcher. Once that happened I am now looking at a frozen launcher.

Can't scroll down the text window, can't see any login or server options. Under "Game Update Progress" it's all black and under "Status" it's all black.

    Anybody else getting this?

    Thanks

Okay I have Windows 7 64 bit and on the desktop launch icon I right clicked and went into the compatibility tab. I selected it to run in Windows XP SP3 compatibility, problem solved. It's now updating.

I hope that Update 3 still supports Windows 7

I am having the same issue as of the update, using Win 7 64bit. Never had a problem since upgrading...

Did ya try running in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode just for the updating? [Also have run as admin ticked as well]

After getting everything updated, I unchecked the XP compatibility, so the game now works in Windows 7 native.

Confirmed - Right click the DDO Launch client and select "Run as Administrator" worked for me.

Do not check the "Run as Administrator" check box in the compatibility section, this does not work, you have to select "Run as Administrator" from the drop menu when your right click the launcher.

    Running Windows 7 64-bit

Try running the TurbineLauncher from the Turbine folder and let it finish the update.
Oh, that's easy. I didn't farm them. I just cheated. -Meghan

Odd it worked fine for me having Run as Admin in the compatibility window ticked, but I just had to choose XP SP3 to get it to work. After the update was successful I unticked XPSP3 run compatibility. Works great.
