    Default Second consecutive failure.

I've just failed my second consecutive attempt to solve the puzzle in Reaver.

I expect that it's just a failure of confidence, as I can still solve the Reaver Trainer in under fifteen seconds, but I'm not sure what's going on, here. Having acknowledged that the fault is primarily mine, here are some things I don't need:

    1. Someone in Raid Chat giving me an oral countdown from their reading of the timer.
    2. People hitting the lever before I've indicated that the lever should be pulled.
    3. Conversation. If you ask me a question while I'm trying to solve, I won't answer.

I'll draft some guildies who don't mind wiping (in the worst case scenario) for practice before I try to pug it out, again.

I've never used a solver... I never practiced much either, and yes on some of them I am hit or miss. The trick really is to just calmly do it though.

Do you do the 3b start or the 2b 2g start?

I find that the 2nd is sometimes faster but more likely to mentally cross you up than the 3b start, since the first technique is basically guarnateed to get you the 4th color without any kind of thought required; you only have to figure out the other 3, more or less.

    I use the 1110 system (3b).

i'm colorblind, so I can't solve the puzzle by myself, but I have a solver that helps with someone who can tell the difference with the colors... I have lots of characters that are flagged & don't mind fails if you don't mind random conversation that interferes with your ability to concentrate - SQUIRREL!

The only problem with the BBB method is you can't get silly things like this.
