Any suggestions on getting past this point ?
It will get to the Examine Program part and just sits there.
I am able to get on to the beta server with no problem.
Vista 64bit
The beta and the normal clients are in separate directories.
Used to be able to play both.

After installing the closed beta via TDM, the live non-TDM DDO client hangs at "Examining Programs." To fix this, please go into the folder you have the live client for DDO installed (Typically C:\Program Files\Turbine\Dungeons & Dragons Online – Stormreach) and run this file:
“TurbineRegisterGDF.exe”
try this stan and co. Cheers

Had the same problem as op, also running Vista 64 bit, I ran TurbineRegisterGDF.exe as odontia says and all ran as normal.

I had made a shortcut on my desktop since this tends to happen after lllama updates.

This happens to me every time they patch the beta server.
Another reason to hate Vista 64...

Its not the fault of Vista 64, all my games work flawlessly on it.
The problem is that DDO does not let us run their programs as ADMIN, that is what I think the problem is.
