Adios to my friends and enemies of Sarlona. My account is cancelled, the game is deleted and my account information is in the hands of my guild leader for final distribution of the Delscorcho lewt hoard, if he so chooses.
I thank each and every one of you for more than three years of fun and adventure. I started February 28, 2006 in far away Adar. I killed myself so frequently my first few days that I was mad I couldn’t take the harbor steps as a favorite enemy. Strangely enough, I started with a dwarven two weapon fighter named DelScorcho Windbreaker who made it to the desert before he experienced final death. If he was still around, he would be awesome next mod. All of my toons were Windbreakers, which was my trademark.
I remember so many amazing times from the game. My first time in Delera’s #2 took three hours to complete (2hours 55 minutes longer than my last completion) but I enjoyed each moment. I remember the first power 5 item I pulled, a disrupting great-ax from HIPS-Elite farming chest, and not knowing what the hell it was. I remember getting my 1750 favor by killing Velah on elite back when it all had to be on elite. I remember staying up 40 straight hours during one of the loot weekends, only to have the party leader fall asleep at the keyboard in front of the ATDQ mission. I remember finally upgrading my computer and discovering DDO actually had good graphics.
I also thank the people in the guilds it has been my pleasure to join - Adventurers Unlimited, Mimosa Lane, the Harpers-Adar, and most importantly the Blood Cloak Clan. While my real life friends left a few months after launch, the friendships I formed in game sustained me for the last three years. I thank each and everyone of you for your courtesy of taking in an unguilded puggy. Suckers!
And finally, I would thank the good people of Sarlona for their kindness over the years. Thank you for dragging my gimped toons through missions too challenging for my limited game skills. I would especially thank Redemption, who continued to invite me even after knowing how incompetent my toons were. Their game skills may be uber, but their pug judging skills are gimped.
And as I make my final post, I will note that the community made this game so wonderful for me. Thanks for allowing me to participate.
