No blue loading bar; There was an error

When I try to log into the world, it goes to the loading screen and the loading bar never begins to fill blue. Also, sometimes it returns to the character screen with a message window that says, "There was an error".

Also, when trying to create a character the game freezes up.

I have experienced the same issue with not being able to laod into the world on the Argonnessen server. Thus far I've only attempted to log onto two toons. I noticed the exact same issue earlier today playing on Risia, but I was able to access most of my characters and my new monk so I didn't think anything of it.

Yep I tried that as well. One of my characters seems doomed to never be played again; either because something is messed up, or I cancel my subscription (again).

It seems to have fixed itself when I exited the game from the loading screen, logged ack into my account, went through a preliminary "an error has occured", then it loaded me in succefuly, and fast

Thanks. Yes, I can access some characters, but not (important edit there) all of them.

Same problem. I logged in and out of a couple of characters, but just got the lockup with no blue bar. When I tried the same character again, I had the Error box. I tried another and have no blue bar.

This happened to me on Risia test server, but as I was trying out lowbie builds, didn't investigate further.

Now it is happening when I try to log into Thelanis as well:

I can load all my lowbies, and even one of my cappies who is parked in the Necropolis, but

Both of my capped toons who are parked in Meridia will not load!

This is after waiting 30 mins for a blue bar to appear, and after multiple attempts of exiting the DDO client and reactivating it.

Are any of the other toons that will not load parked in Meridia atm?

Given this same issue was experienced on Risia, and we all bug reported it as well as posted on the Risia forums, it seems strange that such a critical problem could have been allowed to manifest in Live...

I'm getting intermittent 'there was an error' messages, but on at least 2 characters, that has transformed into 'your character is still being saved'


bad enough that i have to figure out who to delete, but now i can't even log in reliably to clean said sacrificial lamb off ..

i believe that they are aware of the issue as the above quote will indicate

i just waited for ingame GM to assist with characters that are locked out and kudos for the attempt at helping BUT - to no avail the three characters are still locked out.

Do you mind looking into not being able to enter quest instances. When it attempts to load up it bounces you back outside with a "This place is unavailable" message.

What has been working for me for the Blue Bar issue, is to sit at the Char Select screen for a extra couple minutes, patiently wait, then hit "Enter".

Since I have been waiting an extra couple minutes at that screen, for some reason, I have not had a Blue Bar o Death.

I was somewhat sympathetic to this issue yesterday, because it seemed to be pretty sporadic (and possibly due to just lots of people).

I know at 9am EST there are not a lot of people on, however, and I have just had NINE unsuccessful login attempts in a row.

(Not sure if its a fluke or now - but I've had no issue logging my wizard - and after I logged him then tried someone else it worked)

Either way, this is getting more annoying very quickly.

Hi all....nice to see I'm not the only one seeing this. I've tried 4 toons so far with the same no blue bar loading. I've exited the game and restarted, with the error...and still unable to login to any of the toons I've tried....I have 9 so hopefully one of them will let me in.
