Last night a guildie and I pugged out a lowbie (8-11) Von Flagging Run on Kyber. Our group included a two new(er) players and four players with varying levels of more experience. My guildie and I agreed we were a little under powered but other than the Beholders in VoN3 this group could make it through.
VoN 1 went pretty well, VoN 2 saw one slight problem, but again went fairly smoothly.
VoN 3 was another story, nothing worked right and as people got a little more frustrated people didn't want to follow instructions more zergging occurred and finally we ran into the beholders. I'll just say it was a long night.
All throughout this I have another friend ribbing me about my dislike of pugging VoN, VoN2 and VoN3 are two of my least favorite adventures to pug because if the adventure goes south it goes way south in hurry. VoN3 was definitely that way last night; it had gone to the South Pole and burrowed in. After a party wipe, while sitting dead, I received a tell from my friend "Still hate pugs"; to which I replied "Yes I hate Pugs" with a /p instead of /r.
I feel bad and am sorry about the mis-tell. I tried to apologize twice last night but still feel bad today. My issue wasn’t the group or anyone in the group in general just an unforgiving adventure which still plays havoc with pugs. To be honest it is one of the reasons I don’t mind reflagging for the dragon because even with level 14s the quest can go south and make a simple six minute run into an hour long hurting. Here in a lowbie group they got caught in the cross fire, we were all frustrated, and my timing couldn’t be worse.
To the party’s credit after my outburst we knuckled down and completed the quest. And I am thankful for that. The highlight for me was when I went to get the Inevitable; hedecided not to come out of his room, twice; kind of like “You Guys have been through enough just come kill me now” and our fight with him was the smoothest and simplest fight I have seen with him in a while.
Again my apologizes to the four who suffered my outburst and thanks for seeing us through to the end.
