Yugoloths and PWK

I was just wondering, has anyone else noticed that Power word kill does not seem to affect Yugoloths? I've tried it on the Yugoloths in the Dragon Challenges and the Yugoloths in the Demonweb and nothing seems to happen. I know they don't have deathblock or deathward, because I followed up with a Finger and it worked normally.

I couldn't find any lore reason why they would be immune. The wiki says they are immune to mind affecting spells, but PWK is not mind affecting IMO (it's not even from the enchantment school).

Edit: yeah, went to check my 3.5 PHB and the Power Words are from the Enchantment school. DDO just put it into conjuration for some reason.

Yes, it should be enchantment. Possibly conjuration is just a description error. With the Epic Deific Diadem we now have a nice tool to see what school which spell is actually coded to. I can check later what pops up when using PWK.

Fascinate and such do nothing at all either for the record. No immune msgs pop up.

A lot of mystery and errors in DDO, sometimes you can't even tell whether it's working as intended or broken. But once we actually research and test, it all becomes clear.. that ddo is full of errors lolz. But hey, people don't care

That explains why my bard has such a hard time with them. But as far as no immune msg, there is a blue sparkly flash i've noticed from time to time. I think that indicates an immunity of some sort.

They are Conjuration in 3rd edition (3.0). No idea why they changed it.

Is that the Spell Resistance blue flash you're seeing or something different?

When you don't bypass spell resistance, it appears as a more of a blue shield, what i was speaking of is a scattering of blue sparks.
