Default Playing on Lam last night reminded me of a feat problem

Please make the basic feats trip/stun/sunder functional with other stats besides strength. It defeats the purpose of the diversity in character creation you have otherwise established.
Melee are no longer just strength based.
Sometimes I pull one out just to watch it die over and over. That's how much I hate hires.

This is one of two basic reasons I never use those feats. The other is that they take up a feat and I've yet to ever have a build with a spare feat for a tactical, especially one that is not AE.

Indeed that's an urgently needed change and I suggested this already several times over the years. Especially now with Tabaxi iconic monk who is supposed to use quarterstaffs, it is very sad that you have almost only useless tactical feats because all of them are strength-based and the Trailblazer is supposed to be either wisdom or dex based.

I would either suggest making your trip/stun/sunder based on your highest ability score or the abilities you use for your to hit (for example if you use Killer Instinkt from falconry your trip/stun/sunder is also based on wisdom).
For example, the DC calculation should be (DC = 10 + half character levels + highest ability mod + other modifiers)
Not to forget that Stunning Blow has a way too long cool-down time, it should be 6 seconds like Stunning Fist instead of 15 seconds, and Stunning fist should be renamed into Ki Stun and work with all weapons as long as you are centered (If I remember correctly a developer said once they maybe want to do that but that is already years ago and I don't know if this is still on the to-do list).
Not to forget that it is a bit stupid that stunning fist and blow doesn't work on reapers...
And NO this is not overpowered at all, I simply want that you have a reasonable chance to make your tactical feats actually work and this not only on strength-based melee types!

Another thing on my wish list would be a button consolidation so for example if you have Stunning fist and Stunning blow both abilities should be on the same cooldown and the cooldown should be reduced to 3 seconds so you only need to use one button this kind of button consolidation should be also used for spells and instead of SLAs you should get several copies of a spell to your spellbook if you have more spells of the same type in your spellbook you need only ONE button for all spells and these spells get charges so you can cast the spell several times with one button without a cool down until your charges expire and the charges should recharge at a similar rate as the spells would be available when you have several SLAs with that spell, the best example for what I mean is Phantasmal Killer if you have a deep gnome you have PK up to 3 times and it gets a bit old that you need 3 different buttons for 3 spells who do exactly the same.

I like using them on fighters in heroic leveling. I'd love to use stun on a rogue. Or to see it more dependable for char palis. CC is a longstanding struggle for pure melee. At least make the existing tools available. If a person with nearly 100 dex can't trip you then no one can. If a 100 int isn't enough to know how to trip or stun then what's the point? If a 100 charisma isn't distracting enough to cause you to trip or stand stunned without fail, then what is? If 100 wisdom can't work out how to stun and trip then who can?

/signed, this would help certain melee builds become more useful outside of raw dps roles, maybe...

All classes would benefit. Imagine being wizard 18 monk 2 and you're fighting a champ who escaped the AOE. Pow, stunned or tripped. Then finished off with a critical hit by a sla doing increased damage instead of using a costly CC spell first.
