I dunno. The instakill one will be 10 + 30 (character Level) + 40 (90 wisdom) + 15 or 16 (Assassinate DC) = 95 or 96. That's probably better than what the Assassinate ability from rogue gives, which is 10 + Rogue Level + Int/Dex Mod + assassinate DC. Assuming the same stat bonus and gear setup, you are looking at 10 higher the DC than a rogue gets on their instakill ability. And this tree gives +3 to assassinate DC as a low tier enhancement. Rogue assassin doesn't get that.

I don't have a problem landing Assassinate today. 10 higher should be fine.

Yeah dcs are going to be a bit on the low side i think. Not to mention the lack of assasinate gear...

It's just you. Rogue assassins had to be pure rogue for the dc's (as it scaled with rogue levels). These scale with character levels, making it easy to splash rogue with anything (*cough*monk) and get the same results. In the same hand you get the access as a dps character to use Mass Frog with huge dc's, going pure wis build. This is a nice, flavourful tree, that tend to be too OP for it to go live like this. Imagine, a pure monk, wis based with standing 90-100wis at endgame. Now imagine it on GotF ED, having full access to Everything is Nothing, Mass Frog and the ocasional Instakillers from this tree and Quivering Palm. Goodbye casters instakillers!

Since ranged builds are going to get to use all these abilities with IPS and thereby make them AOE- I think the melee version should have significantly reduced cooldowns.

The Hunting Bird only attacks the first enemy struck by a Missile fired with Improved Precise Shot toggled on. You’ve only got one birdy friend and you have to pick and choose the targets it divebombs at any given time. =P

EDIT: This even counts for the AOE Hunting Bird Attack. It applies the same Cleave like sweeping divebomb AOE that the melee variant does but specifically centered on the first enemy struck by a missile fired with Improved Precise Shot toggled on. There’s been talk around the office reffering to it as basically a Bird Fireball. =D

Really? For stunning blow if I can't crack about 110 it hardly seems to work enough to be worth it in legendary reaper.

WIS to hit/dmg and the WIS KtA is going to be great for monks no doubt. I hardly think a 1/minute instakill is going to put casters out of business though. A Gnome illusionist can crank out, what, about 20 PKs in that time?

What difficulty? 110 should be effective in everything except high skulls reaper legendary quests and legendary raids. And even then only high fort save mobs will make the save.

Yeah, legendary reaper. But that's what we're talking about if we're considering 90+ wis right? I suppose an instakill that can be used at range works better with a bit lower DC as you can pick your targets more and hit low fort mobs. With a stun you really want to be able to get everything even the highest fort melee mobs because they're the ones swinging at you.

Very nice new universal tree, good work on the creativity.

Only downside is the shared timers for the special bird attacks.

so am I the first to ask for more than 80 AP because there isn't enough points to spread around into all these trees?

Diving Attack looks OP to me and adding Assassinate bonuses to the DC doesn't fit to me. looks too much like trying to throw a bone to Assassins when this tree is supposed to be more universal.

Meticulous Weaponry should be T1 just like in other trees that have the same item damage enhancement. its also just very weird to choose between item damage and a chance for returning arrows. to me, I would rather have the right kind of bow for the job and get House D returning arrows, or any of those arrows for that matter. its not like they are expensive.

Strike for the Eyes- too bad blindness itself couldn't be re-worked so it slowed enemies in general. and again a bone to Assassins?

Coordinated Strikes- Assassin bonuses. this tree looks more like its intended for Assassins that don't sneak.

meh, the tree has some nice potential but its very lopsided with the way the bonuses include Assassinate.

You are the one choosing not to play alts.

As usual, my first question is do the ranged versions work with Repeaters, and if so how...I'm guessing the +W applies to all three Repeater bolts on all targets hit but the bird only attacks once on the first-hit target? First-hit makes it hard to apply the CC to the mob you're trying to CC, maybe change it to intended target rather than first-hit? If you're trying to blind that caster, you dont want your bird going for the trash melee mob that gets in the way. Does Death from Above instakill trigger from the bird strike or the weapon strike? Ie, with a Repeater do they have to save once or three times?

I could see some possibility for Repeater Rangers and Repeater Clerics (esp. with War Domain granting the prof) now with WIS as the combat stat. Maybe even Repeater Druids as a hybrid caster-ranged. Any of those could benefit from /rog 5 for Mechanic and Evasion. 15 Clr War Domain/5 Rogue for T5 Mechanic, Holy Sword, self-heals and decent DC casting with pumped WIS, could be potent with either RXBs or GXBs.

The tree seems kinda button-heavy...four distinct active attacks, and it's weapon-agnostic (unlike eg Vistani) so you probably have more attacks from your class enhancement trees too for whatever weapon you use. Falconer isnt going to be your core offensive tree with those CDs. Maybe change the attack to a single button with shorter CD (12s?) and the progressive tiers just add more effects to it? (Ie T2 trip check, T3 additional blind check, T4 adds AOE)

The bleed seems pointlessly slow to build. Stacks 10 times for 5d6 damage per second (whoopee) but it takes at least 45 seconds to get to full stacks...how many fights last that long, and even for those that do, how much is 5d6 per second going to really help?

Overall...dont really see this being used much except as wis-to-dmg/wis KTA for wis classes, and maybe take the one single-target blind/helpless attack

So paralyzing rangers are going to be hella good. Wisdom and con is all they need now. AP might be tight though.

Can I suggest changing the name to "Falconer" instead of "Falconry"? ALL currently existing trees are named after a ROLE, not a SKILL. "Master Falconer" would be even more betterer.

Are you perhaps landing a glancing blow instead of a full hit? Stunning attacks don't work unless you actually HIT, and mobs in high-skull legendary reaper have equally legendary AC. Plus a lot of champs have blurry and dodge and other ****, and those, of course, are WHO YOU WANT TO STUN.

I thought I didn't have a high enough DC in heroic reaper until I realized I just wasn't hitting as consistently as I was used to. Then I realized the DC was fine, I needed more accuracy/true seeing/etc.
