    Default TaiChi Swordsman and Cleric/bard

    Hey Kent! Long time brother. I have 2 build requests.

    Build One is a concept I was wondering if would work with the Aasimar race (I like the healiing aspect)? It does not have to me Asimar but I saw some pretty dope videos and it seems the synergy is ok but I could be wrong. I am thinking Tai Chi Swordsman. Monk/fighter build I am thinking. Does not have to be that split of course. Looking for massive DPS and of course survivability of a monk or fighter. Lastly, what gear would I use for this build? Vague is fine like cloth armor, etc. I am fine with Dex, Stre or Wis based. No matter.


    Build Two is a Cleric build. With all the new mods to Clerics, it has my head turning. I really love the Radiant Bard you made for me last time. Is there anything you would change to that build with the new cleric pass recently?

    Tome list is +5 to all stats for both builds. I will try and find the video. Basically it was someone what looked like undead wings in LOD kicking booty.

    Hello again! I'm back looking for an up to date build for a TWF Paladin that isn't a Bladeforged, as this character is in a static group and has to start at level 1. Also all the same restrictions apply with +6 tomes in everything and a 2nd life toon.
    If you see Pendl at the beginning of the name.... it's probably me.

    Yes. I was commenting in my build request that I like the concept. The stats seem synergistic with the wisdom side of things. I am looking for a Tai Chi Swordsman using this race.

    Yeah, that's my build which is here. I don't believe this would work as an MC too well, but I could be surprised, and maybe Kent can come up with something that will work for you.

    The only two ways I've thought about doing it has been 18 ftr 2 monk (becomes a real glass cannon if you don't have gear and know what you're doing in epics) or 18 ftr-1 FvS(Divine Will)-1 Barbarian (10% run speed+Barbarian PA) or Rogue (trapping, but only if you have +4 or better skill tomes). For Scourge you could do one monk for deflect arrows and put 4 AP into ranger for 2 second deflect arrows if you had 10 or so racial AP, or just do 1 fvs(Divine Will instead of KtA)/1 ranger. Picking up everything proposed in Defender and Fallen line is AP intensive. Scourge get off a little better because you just 7 core, +2 hit/dmg vs. evil, and +2 AP in Healing Amp if you choose. Rest of scourge other than HAMP really isn't worth it vs. AP investment and 24 AP Defender on pure come out better for +10% AB run speed and +6 strength and Tenacious Defense. Fallen (unless max racial AP) sacrifices AP from defender (+7 str and run speed) for 7 strength, +5 as temp buff and wings, 10 MP, Vulnerability, and Healing from LoH mainly, but to also pick up HAMP and Magical Training for endless Cocoons or those times you run in Divine Crusader.

    Notes:
    So the rub is you can't use Khopeshs (B swords would work too but went with them as in the vid) till level 12 so Kamas.
    with this build stun and trip will be your friend it is as tanky as I could make it wile wearing robes remember to use a pot (I like to carry haste pots for this) before healing for "Liquid Courage"
    Wile leveling I would get the haste boost from kensei then switch it out when you get the one from Legendary Dreadnought there will be some other AP fiddling as you get the requirement feats for some of the kensei stuff

    P.S. it is SWF as is vid but TWF might be better with out all the DS from 20 fig if you go TWF stunning blow lev 1 TWF lev 3 and ap in Shinto moved to off hand hits "Deft Strikes"

    Default Iconic Wizard

    Hi Ken!

    I want to knock out some iconic Wizard lives to get those past life benefits. Being a pure Wizard seems a bit boring, other than doing DC type Wizard stuff, which is why I want the past lives!

    Do you have any recommendations on more interesting iconic Wizard builds for me?

    I have access to most stuff. VIP w/ a couple +5 stat tomes, for DEX and CON, and a +2 for INT. 36 pt build. Harper tree. I don't have the Bladeforged or Shardaklarkarkariri, but I have all the others.

    I'd like to be as self sufficient as possible, with healing and trapping if it can be squeezed in, so I can farm stuff solo for future lives. For the three lives I was thinking of a 1) melee crit type, 2) ranged DPS either as thrown, bow/xbox, or spells, 3) and finally a DC type caster for my last life.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    For your first build "1) melee crit type" this should do it was rough as a wiz PL build but the more I look at it I like it. I should be great as long as you are not going in to many reapers undead healing really hit hard with that self healing penalty but with the right gear I am told it can still work out in reaper stuff like Festering Mummy Wrappings, Legendary Festering Mummy Wrappings.

    For your "2) ranged DPS either as thrown, bow/xbox, or spells," I would go Arty/wiz repeater easy to do if that works for you.
    3) and finally a DC type caster for my last life. Look at this Gnomeomancer for guildy this one looked fun did for my guildy and with 3 PKs on top of necro insta kills he had to be told to save some SP for later (if just so I could get some kills too ) it was done as a first life build could go over it for you and repost it with your tomes and as a 36 point build for you if you like the look of it

    1) and 3) are great! I'm really looking forward to running both especially the gnomemancer. It's nice to hear that it was effective as a first life. I'll save it for my last just to be a tiny bit more effective.

    For the 1) melee build, I'm a bit ignorant on T5 Eldritch Shield. Is it possible to make a build with that being effective at all? I'm guessing it'd be all based off how high of a shield bonus you could get but I don't have the in-game experience to know if that's possible.

    For 2) the ranged build, as I played over the last week I wanted more and more to have a throwing variant. Is there some sort of Iconic thrower that could be built for a Wizard PL? I'm torn between doing a shuriken-type build, like the "wraith cannon" from one of your previous builds, or doing something new with the Vistani tree and throwing daggers. So a couple questions regarding a thrower. Would the wraith cannon build still be the same? And what could a potential throwing dagger build look like?

    The more and more I dig into this the more lives I wanna run. Ahh. I'm becoming an addict.

    Hmm...I really like this. Is there a way we can add armor to this build? Not concerned if not centered.

    Notes:
    So the rub is you can't use Khopeshs (B swords would work too but went with them as in the vid) till level 12 so Kamas.
    with this build stun and trip will be your friend it is as tanky as I could make it wile wearing robes remember to use a pot (I like to carry haste pots for this) before healing for "Liquid Courage"
    Wile leveling I would get the haste boost from kensei then switch it out when you get the one from Legendary Dreadnought there will be some other AP fiddling as you get the requirement feats for some of the kensei stuff

    P.S. it is SWF as is vid but TWF might be better with out all the DS from 20 fig if you go TWF stunning blow lev 1 TWF lev 3 and ap in Shinto moved to off hand hits "Deft Strikes"

    That sounds interesting. If I am not getting anything from Monk wearing armor then this sounds like a good modification. I have some good med armor. What weapons are you thinking?

    Thinking kopesh 12 fighter 7 bard to get displacement at 20 for epics not to mention haste and heroism and miner heals and 1 cleric to get STR + from cha devine might, & with power surge boosting all stats more bang for your buck there (so at just 30 cha that is a +22 STR with power surge then devine might going and as your cha will get higher even more as you go up just to get you thinking note that the DM is a insight + so keep that in mind when you do the math but still yeah is good )still need to see how AP play out but this is what I am thinking now

    Hello Kent, I've been lurking around for a few years checking out your awesome builds, I think it's time to finally request one of these from you

    I'm about to head onto my fourth life, I would like something that can tank and perhaps trap with great survivability (A pala/fighter/barb/monk life). I only have +2 CHA tomes unfortunately. Thanks.
