Default Clean up inventory #3 The Quest-Belt/Utility-Belt (free to VIP)

Hey guys, ever have to toss loot to pick up a key? or a journal? Is your inventory clogged with scrolls, potions or spell components? tools, rune-stones? you name it you need them! to be self sufficient, or for utility!

My solution: The Utility belt (free to VIP), so what is this Utility belt?

The utility belt is a "5 slot belt" in the inventory screen (like the cosmetics have slots) to carry around your questing tools. First purchase (free for VIP) will grant you 3/5 slots on it. the following slots (4/5 & 5/5) will be purchasable from the store.

In the first slot there will be the "Quest bag" this bag is part of the utility belt and cannot be removed. this bag will gather and hold all your quest items you might need to pick up to continue further in the quest.
so all your Keys, journals, crests, pages, sigils, totems, crystals .... and so on, will go in this bag. the bag will be emptied after leaving the quest
Things that have to take inventory space / weight for gameplay reasons (i.e. the crates in Gwylan stand) will not go into this bag.

What goes in the empty slots on the belt?

well you can decide, you get to pick from a few useful bags that are(not yet) in the game. these bags will be:

    - Hireling Folder (already in the game) -> holds your hireling contracts
    - Cookie Jar (already in the game) -> holds your cookies

    Not in game yet!
    - Potion case -> S/M/L, holds potions in larger stacks (100%/150%/200%) and reduces weight (-25%/-50%/-75%), usable from belt. does not hold eternal potions!
    - Scroll case -> S/M/L, holds scrolls in larger stacks (100%/150%/200%) and reduces weight (-25%/-50%/-75%), usable from belt. (scrolls cast from the utility bag are consumed like potions, no more weapon swapping!, however during casting no benefits from equipped shield/weapons)
    - Spell component bag -> S/M/L, holds Spell components in larger stacks (100%/150%/200%) and reduces weight (-25%/-50%/-75%), usable from belt.
    - Rune stone satchel -> Holds rune stones and throwing flasks and vials, usable from belt like potions (hot bar to use, not sure how they work now?!?)
    - Tools(&booster) case -> holds thieves tools, healers kit, repair kit, and all the Challenge boosters, usable from belt.

all bags should have an option to auto gather.

! ! For the devs! ! The 5 slots in this belt will have to be coded different than the inventory is right now, also the bags will have to get coded different than exsisting bags to make sure that what is in them can be used while questing and does not back log you inventory (like arrows from quivers, maybe a good time to fix this two?).

Well this is the first draft hope you guys see merit in this idea. it will open up to 3 pages for loot!

    Thanks for reading! please discuss

Sounds like a good idea and I would definitely like to see Scroll Cases and Spell Component Pouches in game.

Thieves Tools are already stacked in 50s - Though why they are consumables in the first place I don't know!

BUT: What I really don't want to see is Potion bags of any kind!
We're already way too far down the route of "Self Sufficiency" and Potion Bags {apart from being nowhere in the Lore of D&D} would make this even worse!

Rune Stone Satchels - Meh - Not worth it!

The idea is to give more options than slots so players have to find out for them selves what is useful to them to put into the belt and what to keep in their inventory, the idea is that the scroll/potion/spell case can only be used in conjunction with the belt so you cant use the stuff from the bags if they are in you inventory (you could store but not use due to current coding of inventory).

thank you for giving your thoughts, It will be up to the Dev's whether they endorse this idea and what bags they choose to add.

About the potions I don't see any difference with how it is now, potions wont get better you just wont need to carry 1.5 pages of them. but to each his own If more people feel it your way then I am more than happy to concede and remove the option, for now I will leave it in for discussion purposes.

edit: also the potion/scroll bags will not hold unlimited Types but should rather be like quivers thus S/M/L would be like 10/20/30 types.

I was in epic rushmore picture portals and all the stuff--sigils etc--filled up my already-overstuffed inventory. So nice idea!
