    Default Ferrael of the Autumn Wood: A Grace, Displacement, Dex to Damage Pure Fighter

    Updated the build. This would probably work out well TWF with rapiers these days. I ran across by chance, and since Would Elfs are a thing now I updated it. If you want to go Longswords/Scims/Falchions, take the alternate feat selections. You will not have much to-hit and you'll be at least up too 35 down at cap. To-hit isn't that big of a deal on a 3rd+lifer with tomes, until you hit high heroics and legendary content.

    Elven Grace provides DEX-to-dmg, but not DEX-to-hit. If you want DEX-to-hit with scimitars, you can either go for Tempest (rgr lvl 3) or be a centered monk / Kensei with Ninja Training; for falchions I believe Ninja Training is your only option.

    Your only playing in Kensei tree so AC will be average which isn't bad but not needed.

    I know it’s not str khops build, nor a raging barbarian machine, but please let me know what you think. I worked with feats for a while, and though I am satisfied with my selection, I am still wrestling with the order. I didn't put the alignment in or the sex, as that is a personal choice.
    Not sure why you are going Dex based, unless it is for flavor which is always a person choice, I do things like that myself. If it is something I am overlooking, sorry.

    I believe he's basically going for the Dragonmark, he needs to spend AP somewhere to unlock the higher tiers thus getting Valenar +DMG enh, when you reach that point it's just a few AP to get DEX to Damage to unlock Skill for 3% doublestrike and dodge. I did something similar on my melee wizard elf, I wanted Feywild Tap and then it would be too sorry not to make the most out of the tree.

    I was about to say that... you need Weapon Finesse there.

    It is definitely a flavor build. I wanted a pure fighter that played similar to a tempest, minus all those ranged goodies and the dervish. I actually came up with this last summer before I lost my original account, and I wanted to compare the DPS between pure fighter and ranger running dex builds. Anyways, it's all DDO science.

    Good catch. I believe, if it hasn't changed, weapon finesse will work with schims, but I've honestly never tried it out of the built in ranger PrE. I know it covers rapiers, which are coded as 1-h weapons--not light. If in any case, I fell that 18 str and +8 hit should be enough to maintain a good hit chance in heroics levels. I don't think Ninja Training 2nd core ability will cover the 2h falcion, but I may be wrong...

    I built it around grace and +3% ds and melee/ranged speed (can't remember the name of the enhancement off the top of my head). However, when I relieved I could have some displacement as a fighter and I wanted it. I didn't have to sacrifice much to have it. Sure there are some defensive things I could have taken, but I know that this build might work well until about 22-25 and then go downhill. However, it I could be wrong.

    I had an account uptil August of last year with two complete completionist lives, 1 on Khyber and the other on Orien. Someone I used to be married too decided to hack and delete my account, so I am just coming back and working on another completion life with all these new and not so good goodies I didn't have the first time around.

    Weapon finesse does not, and never did, work with scimitars. Tempest allows you to use dex to hit and damage for scimitars, but does not require weapon finesse. Ninja training will allow you to use dex to hit and damage with any piercing or slashing weapon as long as you are centered, which requires kensai's tier 5 one with the blade for non-monk weapons.

    I know you said you're set on pure fighter, but you might want to take a look at Santa's Little Slayer in my sig. It might at least give you some ideas. It has many of the same features that you are looking for: dex based, twf, elf with dragonmark and weapon lines.

    I believe this does scale up with epic levels.

    I can confirm that epic levels will add to the duration of the dragonmarks. At level 28 you will have 4 charges that give 2 minutes and 48 seconds for a total of 11 minutes and 12 seconds of displacement. This will be sufficient for most content but you will find times when you have to be selective about when to use it since it won't last between shrines.

    In addition, my Helf 2Arti/6Monk/12Kensai became un-centered with any/all scimitars despite having the Kensai Heavy Blades line (in which Scimitars are included) AND One with the Blade...found this out after dusting off and LRing +20 my 2rogue/18fighter into this build.

    Longswords, Greatswords, Falchions => Centered.

    A Feat Swap to Get Khopesh and AP reset for Exotic Heavy Blades and Centered with Khopeshes.

    Scimitars....UNCENTERED FFS. So TR to WF Int Based Assassin /shrug
