so lookin at the ddo wiki.... did it also lose radiance comming over to live? any other general updates on the live version of the weapon from any who have it?

The wiki entry is the updated current version, held by a lawful pally. Apparently it used to drop only on elite in Lamannia, though the older version seemed to be quite overpowered with light damage and all.

overpowered? with no silver dr breaking, most threads that involved it were lamenting how weak the holy avenger equivalent was

I think there is something missing from our knowledge of this item. I've seen the version with Radiance, Dispelling, and SR35 linked in game.

My own paladin @18 and another @20 that pulled the swords on an elite run both have the version missing the extras and the SR30. I'm thinking there might be some sort of hidden set bonus at work here.

Trying to track down someone that has one with the full bonuses.

Is it possible it's a secret set when used with the Vengeful Protector shield that also drops in VoD?

Does anyone have both on a pure level 20 Paladin that can screenshot having both equipped at once?

Left = Level 18 defender with Sovereign Host line.

Now just need to figure out if it's tied to KotC or if it's a level thing. Trying to get in contact with the level 20 paladin that had the reduced version of it before, it's possible he was 19 at the time or something silly like that.

Anyone else have a different version to share?

Being affected by a PrE would make sense, too. It does say in the description that it was used against Sub-T mobs, which are mostly Devils so that easily ties it to KotC.

Though having the capstone could also be the solution.

My Pally is pure, KOTC, and has the "complete" Divine Vengence (sr30, radiance, Greater dispel, axiomatic and holy burst)

i'll be respeccing to DOS soon, so i'll note any changes in the sword and re-post afterward



on a side note: has anyone determined if it is still dispelling dbuffs/DOTs like it was on Lam? did some testing with it, but not enough to be conclusive

My lv20 straight DoS gets the full version (SR35/G. Dispel/Radiance). Probably just based on # of paladin lvls.

Just hit 20 and am now seeing the full radiance, dispelling, SR 35 version as well.

There is still some weirdness as the effects on it appear in different orders sometimes and it occasionally changes the holy burst graphic to axiomatic burst which makes it look much more interesting.

Just reset your enhancements, and check before you go back the way they were. The reset is free at cap.

Not sure yet. Going to pull it out next Reaver raid and see if I can annoy some people.

Ended up doing something way less amusing than griefing a raid party...

Went into Epic Claw of Vulkoor and had an air savant DOT the heck out of Sobrien. No instances of the dots or curses being dispelled.
