I feel for ya stain. the last AA who did this in one of my VoDs ended up watching us take Sulu down begging for a rez, taking his verbal medicine from most of my guildies and earned a spot on my list.

To the AA that ran VoD with us last night. I know you thought it was hilarious to many shot Sulu and then tumble all over the place. We looked like a train of dumb people chasing behind. It was even funnier when most of the party was cursed and the cleric had to drink a pot on a normal VoD. What is the funniest is I have no feeling on the left side of my body now. There will be a reckoning.

I think there are some tips for coping with your symptoms here.

Among other perks, it should now be easier to play "The Stranger".

I feel the need to remind you of my solution for these troubling times. A brief introduction to the wonders of greater dispel magic and grease clickies cure problematic kiting. This is as effective as baby aspirin, and can be quite the mood enhancer.

If you actually run VOD, you would know that when he ports, which happens quite often in the middle of the fight, his aggro resets.

Rational folks who pick up the new aggro, whether they be casters who had an acid fog/cloudkill cast on him or a ranged toon that was shooting him in the butt would know to stand the hell still so the designated tank can come over and whack him a few times to regain aggro.

Only an idiot would do what the aformentioned AA did in this run.

We had a lvl 19, undergeared, WF FvS tanking, which was fine and doable. We discussed letting him build up agro for a bit, before we ported in. And as Tap4black said, agro resets when he ports. I hope I clarified it for you.

Indeed. That's why WF Hvy Repeater builds (one I know in particular) make the BEST Sulu tanks in VoD. I'm serious!

Not from Khyber, but feel like I need to comment anyways.

A quick solution to any Arcane Archer (or character in general for that matter) that thinks it's funny to kite around a raidboss would be Kormor's belt, which is pretty easy to get from sins of attrition in Amrath.

Sorry to hear about your experience though, some Arcane Archers just need to learn aggro management... people like the person in question give Arcane Archers, and rangers in general, a bad reputation.

I've noticed casters have a similar behavior they like to engage in quite often. The moment they see something they'll open fire and pull aggro. Why they can't wait the extra half second for the melee to engage is beyond me. They then spend 10 minutes running in circles like an episode of Benny Hill while Wacky Sax plays in the background. The melee can't do anything to help them because the target won't sit still. All that ends up happening is wasted time and sp.

If the above situation sounds like you, then please just stop running, hit your block button, and trust your melee and healers to take care of the rest. 99 times out of 100 they WILL bail you out. And the other 1% of the time it was your fault anyway. Also, remember that diplomacy is your best friend and will save your life.

Archers read this. Learn it. Live it.

For me, if an archer feels like running around and kiting, I wont attack the enemies chasing him nor heal him and advance with the quest. Switch to melee weapons instead of kiting or block but stand still.

If I lead a pug raid, I will not invite more than 2 (mostly 1) rangers. Sry, but permanent bad behaviour of ranged archers is responsible for this. And I am tired of constantly asking if rangers are tempest, AA, or DS. A bit rude I must admit, but what shall I do. Implement prestige class icons or something.

Ive found koromors, cant spell it, but yeah that belt to be super useful in situations like this.
