Thumbs down New forums not a good change at all

Personally I do think the forums needed a bit of consolidation, but wholesale combining of class and race forums is just a poor idea at best, no clear area for user written game guides and the likes. I my opinion the forums just became much more difficult to use. This was not well thought out, I doubt the designer is a real user of the forums or a DDO player. T

The forums have just become a whole bunch harder to navigate and find things in.

Yeah, this was a bad idea. Why are the class forums combined? Why do I have to wade through Cleric info when I'm looking for Wizard?

    This restructuring sucks.

Hey, if making the forums more cumbersome and annoying to navigate was the goal - then mission accomplished! If the objective was to improve things... way, way off target.

People are already irritated about rangers and rogues not being in melee forums

I suppose the upside is that maybe I'll be more productive at work, now.

Have to agree that the restructuring seems off.
It doesn't make anything easier to navigate, quite the opposite.
If I want info on Paladins I now have to wade through posts about Barbarians?
    Why consolidate so much?
    Makes navigating far worse.

I too fail to see how combining all the classes into lumps makes anything better. This is a step backwards and more.

The focused forums for Bards, Rogues, etc all gave a distinct point to go to read up on those specific classes and the issues and concerns players had with them. Now to read about Rogues, you have to shift thru all the posts about Bards and Rangers.

Sorry, this seems poorly thought out from a user standpoint.

What, exactly, was wrong with each class having it's own forum?

The less people who use the forums the less strain on the servers. This also means less people talking about problems with the game so that upper management can finally tell themselves that the game is working perfectly and they can fire a couple developers to save money and increase their bonus checks at the end of the year.

Cisco and Dweebert currently give this design.......1 smiley out of 5. And the one is because dweebert was drunk.

Have to agree with the majority here. Do not like this change at all.

    Thumbs down

I don't usually post in these type of general complaint posts but ..... this is simply terrible. So now I have to wade through all types of other classes to find info on my own class - & even worse, I have to hope someone else has the patience to do the same so that a meaningful conversation can happen.

The class forums, one of th most important treasure troves of information has been essentially destroyed. This is a terrible change. I really have no idea what Turbine was thinking when they did this & can only hope that they will put it back the way it used to be.

    Default Tag an old post

I am the OP on an old post which was moved from the Wizards class section to Spellcasters section. I want to tag the post as a Wizard post now that it has been moved into generic spellcasters forum. How would one go about doing such a thing. There did not seem to be that option , even when I went into the advanced options.

Am I just not seeing the field or checkbox/button/icon?

If you must do this, at least make the old class threads sub-forums. Cumbersome and a step backward from yesterday, but a huge step forward compared to today!

you mean they changed things around, but are still not letting us go back to TRY to work within the latest screw up to fix things they screwed up again?

lesson to be learned Turbine... if it isn't broke, done fix it. Do you accept the challenge of understanding and then implementing said policy?

Default Thanks for Fixing what was Not broken

I understand change when it is for the better but this was just a change to make a change....I didn't know there was an issue navigating the forums...were there alot of complaints? Or did you want your customer base to have something else to complain about?

Yeah, I'll have to agree with the rest, this is not a good change. Before if a new player wanted to research sorcs, there was a place for that...now, good luck!

Agreed. Seemed to be user friendly before. Now, not so much.
