I thought the chance was 1.5% hard and 3% elite for all quests?

Nope. More people can help you run things faster, but you'll have to share the loots. Same odds per instance, not per person.

Confirmed. The eardweller isn't normal treasure, it's just chewing on the chest when you open it. Then it gets startled, freaks out, tries to run away and usually dies in a fire.

Unless you're out of spell points.

So does this mean that the chest in the dreaming dark can spawn the ear dweller even if the chest is ransacked since it is supposedly chewing on the outside of the chest? Curious if anyone knows the answer to this...

My wild guess would be that the chance is always there, just like in the clam at the end of Eye of the Titan. There is no such thing as clamsack.

Varies from chest to chest. Longer quests have a higher chance. Elite quests have a higher chance.

Does not depend on ransack at all. I don't know how many times I'll have to repeat that.

I really think a level of detail, per quest, per chest, per difficulty, is beyond the scope of what players should have provided to them.

We had that with the pre-buff drop rates.

It helps people 'complete' the Dreaming Dark pack more quickly (as they can optimise their farming by finding the quest with the best drop rate per minute) - which means they are more likely to move onto the next pack.

Plus, I *hate* Eye of the Titan with a passion verging on inarticulate rage (from farming the Eardweller when it only dropped there, I wasn't even particularly determined). I'd like to know if one of the other quests has a better chance per minute so I can start hating that quest too
