+1 exceptional stat bonus does not stack with other +1 exceptional bonuses. +1exceptional bonus will stack with a +2 exceptional bonus. Doesnt matter where the bonus comes from.

Not necessarily. Its not a good idea to put +1's on the most popular shroud weapons as you lose too much damage. Its also impossible to get + to str on the best shroud weapons.

Really it depends on your needs and gear layout.

no it doesnt do anything per Garth. He upgraded his last night to check, just fills the slot.You can always cleanse it as well.

Question: if a damaged pair of Spectral Gloves (or some other item) is combined with the correct Shard, Seal, and Scroll, is the durability of the created Epic Item at full? Or does the original loss in Durability carry through to the Epic Item?

I am guessing that Epic Items are restored to full Durability when created based on the screenshots of Epic Items I have seen (all of them appear to be at maximum and nice round numbers) and I have heard some people say this is so although they had not done it themselves... Can anyone confirm?

Answer: It creates a new item cleansing all Permanent Damage off of your item as it creates it's Epic Form.

Is the bonus random, or do I choose it, ie. I want the FF bonus, which is listed under yellow augmentation bonuses. If I put the yellow crystal and transmute it, how do I know that I will get that FF bonus, and not some other?

What colors can go into colorless slots? I'm assuming that any color crystal can go in a colorless slot but I don't see that explicitly stated in the guide. I know colorless crystals can go into any color slot but is the reverse true?

It's the slot that is the restrictive part of the equation.

Ha! Got it Shard of the Chimera's Crown! Actually Dhagar got it and let me have it from the epic chest, but that works for me. All is well that ends in loot!
