Auction house stole my money

I've been a lurker for some time now, but I felt I just had to post about this.

I tried to buy some armor in the AH at about 04:30 CST yesterday. I know the searver gets a little buggy around this time everyday, but it had never posed a real problem before. I clicked on the buyout button and nothing happened. So I waited clicked it again same thing. I did this like three or four times and still nothing happen. Five minutes after I had left the AH a message pops up with "you don't have enough money to place that bid" I suddenly went from 400k plat to 10k (the armor was only 85k plat) and there is nothing in the mail.

What the F%#k! It tried to buy the single item from the AH multipal times, something you can't do, and didn't give me the item. I put in a ticket and the GM tells me this is a problem they have never seen before, and there is nothing they can do, please submit a bug report. This is $hit! I am a casual player and it took me a real long time to get that much money. When I Bi*^#ed about it in general chat people told me this had happened before and even after being reoprted nothing has been done to fix this.

I know there are bugs that have waited years to be fixed. Don't get me wrong, I hate getting stuck on ladders as much as anyone, but i spent a huge amount of time making that money.

I am aware that B^%#hing on the forum isn't going to get this resolved, but I had to vent somewhere. It's just been a long time sense I've been screwed that hard.

Hey bro, I understand your frustration but no need to post this multiple times. Just farm IQ, get ur gold back and not use the AH around that time. Simple answer for a simple problem.

You're right I was jusr really pi$$ed. I play mostly two man and it takes a long time to get money. I also realized I shouldn't have posted it in more than one forum but couldn't figure out how to delete the other one. Than's my fault.

It takes alot of time to make that kind of cash..Sorry bout the money.
I havent had any problems with AH so far but then i dont use it that much.
ddo has been screwing alot of ppl from what i hear.Bums hurt all over

While I'm sure it has happened to others, this is the first time I've heard about it. As has been said, while it sucks, it shouldn't take too long to get the money back, run a few shrouds and IQ and you are back in the game, financially. A lot less time than it took you the first time around, being that you have more knowledge of what sells and what doesn't on the AH, you can plow through content faster, and you have better equipment to help you move faster on your journey to financial freedom in the realms of Eberron.

Umm... I'm only 13th level and this is my first toon on any MMO. I made that money in the ice festival. I've never even done a raid. Mostly I play with a small group of people I used to pen and paper D&D with back in the day. It is going to take me a looooong time to make that money back.

Had a similar thing (an item I put up for an auction just disappeared, no money or item in the mail, nothing in the AH) happen to me, though much earlier on so I didn't lose that much money. I see where you're coming from though, I'm level 12 on my first toon and that amount of money is HUGE for a F2P newbie (nothing derogatory here).

My previous comment was pretty flimsy as sexisms go, I'll consider a neg rep for that to be quite an achievement.

In your bug report, do include the time and time zone it happened if you can remember. It gives the net ops something to look at per a time frame for server wonkyness. I've never had your issue hit me before.

That does suck though. I have heard of lag storms doing all kinds of weird thing like making items dragged between the bank and inventory disappear and such.

There is a real person on the other end of the screen reading the messages you type. That person has no idea about what happened except for what you tell them.
