Default Seeking Companions Wishing to Explore

My wife and I have started playing this game just recently.

We tried to hook up with a few groups, but the style of turning a dungeon into a race track does not fit our sense of enjoyment. We prefer to explore a dungeon, rather than rush through it.

She runs around with a 2nd level elven ranger (Meadows Gee).

I operate a 2nd level human clearic (Summarian Thrakutter).

We will usually be found in each other's company.

We're getting to the point where we would like to team up with others to continue playing.

If you're looking to explore some place, and would like a couple of players who will not rush the place, look us up, please.

And if there are any active guilds that recruit for this style, we would like to be considered.

    Thank you.

I usually detest the rushers myself. Much prefer to take my time through an adventure. It's more fun and you experience more. So feel free to look up any of my characters, listed in my signature below. Also, if you have an interest in roleplay, then I would love to invite you to consider joining Lightstorm's Dragonslayers. We're a friendly bunch of people, and the thing about Roleplay is that it almost never involves rushing ...

    Well............
Sounds like the Extreme Explorers game style, for the most part.
Just one catch with our guild though.

I can put you on our pug approved list also. Will keep and eye out for you.

I thank you for your responses.

I would like to note that I was a pen-and-paper dungeon master for several years. My campaigns were very long (3 years each, on average; 10-hour sessions; meeting every weekend), involved very slow character progression, extremely detailed - particularly in terms of story, and very popular (only one player ever managed to quit a campaign of mine for more than a few weeks).

    I could tell you stories . . .

It was in one of those campaigns - the first one, in fact - that I met my wife.

I believe that we could enjoy role-playing.

My only problem here is that NPCs do not act enough like real people to get serious role-playing interaction.

Mostly, we would like to have fun. "Run . . . kill the monster . . . open the chest . . . grap the treasure . . . return to the surface . . . get a level . . . enter the next dungeon . . . run . . ." can stay entertaining only for as long as it takes to write the sentence.

Indeed, if you are looking for a great bunch of people that RP and have a no rush playing style Lightstorm's Dragonslayers is the place to be. Infact I have a 2nd level character I rarely use, but would be happy to blow the dust off his character sheet to group up with you.

    Sly,
I have a couple o' links fer ya....

First off, Lightstorm Dragonslayers (LSD) is a good place to be.

But if you're looking for a smaller group, those can be good too.

Why not have a character in each?

    Check these out...

Dedicated Teams (DT) has several 'chapters', with dedicated groups at designated nights and times. MNGN is one of such groups, I happen to be part of.

The line at the Wayward Lobster was started by Thalion ( who also started Dedicated Teams), and includes members from DT and from LSD. The links will explain better than I can, click'em. Check em out.
I think each team, at least the ones I am familiar with, are a bit higher than level 2, like 4 or 5. But that is not too far to reach, and we will help you level, too, if that's any impediment.

    Hope ta see you around!

I was just going to post that they should be in Lightstorm's Dragon Slayers as well. Here is the link for the guild page.
