Heh. Well, you'll be happy to know then that I'm 99% done with tomes. They are in the planner, and work and everything. They save and load to the character save file, and export to the forums. The last thing left to do is to put them on the printout, and I'm done.
I'll also be finishing up putting the additions from 4.1 in. I've already updated the spell points and have put in the dragonmarks. I think all I'm missing are the new spells and enhancements.
I'm thinking I should be able to finish up by tomorrow. There's a fair number of new graphics to put in though, so that might be the holdup. We'll see how it goes.

Alright everyone, I am done. Tomes are now available in the planner, which is now available (see the link in my sig). In addition to Tomes, I added in a bunch of graphics and all the new stuff from update 4.1. There is one known issue which I'll mention after the change log:
Version 2.50
============
1) Fixed the description of Divine Light for Paladins to refer to the Paladin level rather than Cleric.
2) Removed redundant "Dispel Magic, Greater" from the spell list (it's in as "Greater Dispel Magic").
3) Paladins and Rangers will now properly be able to take Improved Mental Toughness at class level 11 (previously this had erroneously been set at 12).
4) Improved Critical: Piercing Weapon was mispelled. If you took this feat, you'll have to put it back in again.
5) Halfling Athletics II-IV will now properly unlock.
5) Added Power Critical: Weapon, Crippling Strike, Indomitable Will, and all Dragonmark feats.
6) Removed the REQUIRED keyword from the race and class data files. It wasn't doing anything.
7) 32 point builds are now indicated as such on the forum export and printout pages in the abilities listing.
8) Ability raises at level 4, 8, and 12 are now shown on the printout (in the class level breakdown).
9) Added support for using tomes. Look for them in the instruction box.
10) The "Notable Equipment" Header in the forum export will no longer appear if the character does not have any equipment to show.
11) Updated all class base spellpoints to match the 4.1 update.
12) Paladins, Clerics, and Rangers will now properly get their level 3, 7, and 4 spells (respectively).
13) Added all missing graphics for spells and updated spell list to include new spells.
14) Added all missing graphics for feats.
Okay, one issue. If you are a human, the planner will allow you to take more than one type of Dragonmark (e.g. you could take both Least Dragonmark of Passage and Least Dragonmark of Sentinel). In game, you cannot do this. So if you are a Human, be sure to only take the one type in the planner until I get this fixed. You can (and are welcome to) upgrade your dragonmark (e.g. Take Lesser Dragonmark of Passage if you've already taken Least Dragonmark of Passage). This is perfectly legal in both the planner and the game.
This is only an issue for Humans (they are the only ones that have more than one type of dragonmark). I don't have the code in place to lock out feats when you take other feats (I do have it in for enhancements, but not for feats). I'll add that code in the next version.
No new equipment types in this one. Sorry. I hope I am forgiven, since I've given you tomes![]()

Awesome. Thanks Ron!
but I must ask...what about the new enhancements? the Rogue Way of the Mechanic etc. and the pally/cleric follower of so-and so?

I wanted to say thanks one more time...this tool of yours has provided my guild with endless hours of fun. Most of us have begun playing new characters based upon the builds I present to them, helping us ignore the fact that we're running the same Harbor/Market stuff all over again.
If it's okay with you, I'd like to start posting a few of my "Concept Builds" on your site...mostly to get them torn apart by the populace and yourself. This will help me, I think, to create a more interesting build that still has an impact on the game itself.

On my site? Well, you could, I have no problem with that. However, I should warn you, my site is not a DDO site specifically, and espeicially the people that come to the forums are not DDOers. They are programmer/modeller types. I dunno how much you will get from posting them on my site, as they aren't going to know the difference between a paladin and a bard
Sorry, guys, I was hoping to get an update out today to get the enhancements I missed. But they aren't exactly trivial in terms of prereqs. Turbine went a little crazy with the prereqs for the new ones, heh. I won't have any time to work on it tomorrow, so the best I can say is sometime this week, probably.
MrTreats, I cannot figure out what you are referring to with Human Adaptability. As far as I can tell, it's right as it is. Can you be a bit more specific on what is wrong?

Awesome work! This saves so much time on reroll characters. I can't thank you enough.
LOL sorry was half asleep when i lvled and realized this it was saposed to be adaptability and it has a required investment of 14 points not the 18 from the planner
also just playing with a sorc and was gonna take heighten at lvl 3 (drow) but it is greyed out is there a lvl required on it
Ok you also have the same image for flesh to stone as you do Flaming Sphere
And at lvl 14 i can add +4 under tomes im not sure if that is intended but i know that as of now only +3 are in game not sure if 2-14 or just 14 can add 4
Sorry for all the problems
Ok the system is letting me add +3 tomes at every lvl to the same stat thats how i had +4 at 14 so i can give myself a tome and they are stacking each lvl it is nice to get that 68 cha at lvl 14 though 2017 SP and 37.5 UMD lol

Okay, I'll check those out.
That's odd. You are right, it is letting you add +3 per level. Which is very strange, because I added and tested code to prevent that very thing, heh. I know it was working right at one point. Hmmm, I'll fix it again, thanks for letting me know. And at lvl 14 i can add +4 under tomes im not sure if that is intended but i know that as of now only +3 are in game not sure if 2-14 or just 14 can add 4

No worries. Don't ever feel bad about reporting bugs. The more reports I get the more accurate the planner getsSorry for all the problems![]()

found a little mistake in the code files...
under otto's dancing sphere, it lists cleric instead of sorcerer
i changed it to sorcerer and it works as intended...

Heh, cool, thanks Hitari, I'll be sure to fix that.
So, I've noticed a trend on the forums that people are waiting until level 14 to plan their enhancements. I have to admit, I've been guilty of that myself. It is easier, you get instant feedback as soon as an enhancement becomes available rather than having to check to see what level you need to be to get the next flavor. The only bad thing about it is it defeats the purpose (to some extent) of using a planner, which is to remind you of exactly when to take what, including enhancements.
So, to address this, I borrowed an idea from Tihocan's excellent enhancement planner. I've added an auto-distribute button for enhancements. You can go ahead and plan out your enhancements at the top level, where it is easiest to see what you can get. When you are done, hit the button, and the enhancements will magically be distributed through your character's levels, such that you get them as soon as possible.
Thus you get the best of both worlds. Ease of planning combined with a final report that still tells you when to take those enhancements at each level.
The planner will assume the order you took your enhancements is the basic order you want to go with, so priority is given to them based on that. However, if it becomes possible to get another enhancement sooner by swapping the orders, then it will do so.
So look for that in the next release, very shortly now.

Would it be possible to add an option in the forum printout dialog to strip out formatting (color, bold, etc)? Forums other than vBulletin don't support those formatting codes within the code tag.
Person Æ, SarlonaTanka (Elf Tempest Trapper) .:. Darani (Aasimar Inquisileric) .:. Raelyth (Elf Artifonk)
I'll see what I can do, Tanka. It's been on my list for a while now. Probably not this build though. I've already spent too much time on it as it is
You can sure tell that Turbine upgraded their enhancement system with the 4.1 update. It does things it never did before. And that meant I had to do some significant overhauling on mine as well.
What started with "But Ron, what about the 'Way of X' enhancements?" turned into a full fledged recoding of the prereq system for the enhancements.
Previously the system could only handle an enhancement having one race OR one class. This meant I had to add a few hacks (like the "no warforged" tag, or double entering a few elf/drow enhancements, and so on). It also had an OR list, but the list had to consist of enhancements only. It also had an AND list, but again, that could only contain feats.
With the 4.1 update, Turbine added some fairly complex OR and AND lists to their new enhancements, and trying to hack them in was looking like a nightmare. So instead I went in and did a lot of new coding. There are now two new keywords in the enhancement files, NEEDSALL (which is the AND list) and NEEDSONE (which is the OR list). These totally replace the PREREQ and REQUIRES fields that were there. The two new fields can consist of races, classes, feats, and enhancements in any combination, so it's now much more powerful than before, and hopefully can hold up to whatever Turbine throws at it
I spent all morning doing that, and the program is now back to exactly where it was before I ripped out the old system. I am finally now ready to add in the new enhancements, heh. But at this point, that ought to be pretty easy. It's a simple matter of some data entry.
On the good side, I got rid of all the hacks I had in, there are no more double listed enhancements, and there is no longer a "no warforged" tag, and a few other things were cleaned up. It works exactly the same on the surface, but actually it's much more powerful now.
So, I'll hopefully get you guys a new release tomorrow sometime.
Ron

Ron, Christopher Walken best sums up my feelings here:
"Yes, Ira, you ARE the man."
Okay, what started as a simple bug fix build turned into a full fledged release, heh. But I'm super happy with this one, I got out all the kinks that I know about. It should be in good shape now. Of course, there's always more stuff I want to do, but that gives me something to do for future versions
Here is the change log for version 2.60
Version 2.60
============
1) Added an "Auto Distribute Enhancements" button which will redistribute your enhancements such that you get them as soon as possible. This means you can plan your enhancements out at level 14, hit the distribute button, and they will automatically be spread across all levels of your build.
2) Fixed a bug where enhancements that affect your hit point total were getting added to your hit points before they should (e.g. if you took Barbarian Toughness I at level 2, the bonus would show up in your hit points at level 1).
3) Overhauled the enhancement prerequisite system. It can handle much more complex prereq lists now.
4) Human Adaptability enhancements progression requirements were reduced to 14.
5) Greater Human Adaptability enhancement parent headings were fixed.
6) Added new enhancements from Module 4.1
7) Fixed Otto's Sphere of Dancing to include sorcerers and exclude clerics.
8) Fixed the Flesh to Stone spell icon.
9) It is no longer possible to go beyond +3 ability raises using tomes.
10) Human Least Dragonmarks feats will now lock out other Human Least Dragonmarks when taken, enforcing the one dragonmark line rule.
If there are any problems or bugs, let me know, as always.
