No problem. Here's a good method for reporting a new item.

1. In DDO, use Ctrl-P to get a screen shot of your item's stat sheet. The JPG file will be stored automatically in your My Documents folder.
   
2. Jot down the quest and/or chest you got the item from.
   
3. In the forum, use Ctrl-F to search for the item.
   
   
   1. If the item is listed already in "Unique Items with Unknown or Non-Unique Locations" then you are done.
      
   2. If the item is listed someplace else, but that is not where you found the item, post a reply stating where you found it and that it should be moved to "Unique Items with Unknown or Non-Unique Locations".
      
   3. If the item is listed in the quest where you found it, you are done, although if there is some chest information you can post that, too.
      
   4. If you don't find the item in the list, post its name, stats, and location. You can also upload the screen shot you made earlier to www.photobucket.com and link that image into your post. (For instance, here's my bragging screen shot: http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...nShot00031.jpg )

Pretty much right now this list is in maintance mode. All items to be found are most likely already reported so anything that will be posted will most likely either be corrections or added info on the item.

This will change once the next update is released and there will (hopefully) be new unique items to be found.

The majority of the items that fall into that category don't have a location. So in order to find them you need to do quests that are around that items level. In the case of items with unknown locations I tend to mark them as such. Feel free though to debate whether any given item in that category actually has a location.

Gauntlets of Ogre Power

Strength +2

Here is a screenshot.

They don't seem to be a named item at first glance, but they are not the run of the mill Ogre Power Gloves, and they are min-lev 9. They are worthless but interesting.

Thats what I thought when I pulled them Uther. But they are Gauntlets for one, and Ogre Power is suffixed, instead of prefixed like all other items. They also have a minimum level of 9.

I think you got a bug. +2 STR gloves should not be level 9. Ogre Power is not (yet?) supposed to be a suffix. I think something went wrong with the loot creation. This is a more plausible explanation for the gauntlets than if they were named loot.

the gauntlets sound like a named item to me. its most likely just left in from launch and very terrible. ive seen similar items drop like that with min lvl 9. cloak of invis with 1 charge of invis. thats it, min lvl 9. goggles of perception- spot and search +5, min lvl 9. no self respecting rogue would wear those things.

The entire item generation system going buggy on ONE item, moving a prefix to a suffix, and using the term Gauntlets instead of gloves, where gauntlets appear nowhere else in the game is MORE plausible than it being a named item?

Thats like saying "I was driving to work and my car suddenly stopped. I think someone behind me must have access to highly classified government weaponry, and stole an EMP pulse cannon to fry out the electronics in my car. It also made the needle on my fuel gauge to to Empty too... was wierd."

I agree, I found "The Cloak of Invisibility" and thought wow, 1 charge this must be a perma invis item and you can use the charge on your firends or the charge would be like 10 mins......

but alas, they a 1 click resettable invis potion only.....

There are some pretty crappy high level named items out there obviously designed before the monty haul..

I could imagine the designers/devs thinking, wow now lets make these cool +2 str "Gauntlets of Ogre Power" for our power gamers when they hit level 9......They would be lucky to last past level 7 on most toons. Cerntainly not with the Delara's Gauntlets around.

Definitely a named item....listed in the DDO compendium

Many other items not isted here also in the compendium.
I am cross checking a list now and hope to have all missing items up to be debated.

The troll fing is not on the compendium list so I would assume other items there are valid, but must be rare if they havent been subbmited here.

in tear of dhakhann the schlager rapier is also +2 ac (its called a dueling schlager), pulled it a few nights ago.....

secondly defintely a few buggy items out there in tempest elite i pulled an underwater helm that cast underwater breathing....lvl9

The durability and the "hardness" of the leather are much better on those "gauntlets" of yours, too. Not that they wear out very much, but it is a difference, if you compare the 2 items in your screenshot.

Is that 50 compared to 30 (durability), and 10 compared to 4 (hardness)? Kinda tough to make out in the SS< but I think that's what it says.

BTW, I had a buggy find a while back, on an Ogre Power item too, but mine were not "gauntlets". Mine were just "Ogre Power Bracers" (ML 7) and only a +1 STR.
