Default question about longterm viability of activated abilities

So, I have 3 items that have a reflex check, that at 16, are 55, and will grow by another several points by 20.

I have one item that has a fort check, which is at 58 currently, to grow by 20 also.

Can fort and reflex save attacks last past 20? What do you need to keep these 4 items working through epics, or should I just abandon the skills at 20 and redo my enhancement trees...

    Thanks!

Calling them items threw me for a sec i'll admit.

They'll be less likely to work in epics as you get higher, but they won't become useless, unless you're running reaper difficulties & you can get more mileage out of them by using the appropriate abilities against the right enemies - too many people rely on eg. finger of death then complain when it doesn't work on the beefy ogre that's trying to eat their face - well no, you're using a fort save spell against an enemy with high fort saves, go for a will or reflex save instead. There's additional boosts in the epic destinies that'll help keep them relevant for longer & higher level gear will boost those DCs higher too. Eventually you might find that some aren't worth it & then can reallocate some enhancements, but that's to be expected.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

First, thank you much for your response! 3 of the items I have are all reflex save falconry attacks which (when not saved against) drops helpless, allowing me to stack damage quickly. They all have some piece which is no save, but I am primarily worried about the helpless part.

I have read that if your dc isn't over 100 in legendaries, pack it up and throw the ability away! For non-reflex resistant saves, is something like 70 good for epics? The falconry attacks are working great so far, would hate to lose them!

    Again, thank you much!
