No Epic Chest for Beyond the Rift

I was running the L.O.D. chain for the Crystalized Spiderwebs, so I was pretty surprised when I finished the last quest, only not to have a blue chest.

Is this normal, or is the quest bugged?

Yes, it is normal. Yes, it should be changed.

As mentioned it's normal/intentional.
The first 3 quest in the chain were introduced as a teaser/prequel to the Menace of the Underdark expansion and followed the normal rules for epic quests at the time. (Including having epic chests)
Beyond the Rift was not added until the expansion went live, the expansion was when they stopped putting epic chests in quests.

I'm about 95% sure this is a contractual limitation on DDO based on lore.

I believe it had more to do with moving from Epic Quests only at 20 to having Epic Levels beyond 20 old epic quests drop tokens

The Web of Chaos chain ends with Spinner. Beyond the rift was never part of that.
