https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Skyvau...eld_(Level_14) In case you make a Sorcerer who uses Tower Shields just because you can
A stack of Thief tools to hand out to the player who ran out.
A stack of unbound Heal Scrolls
A stack of unbound Resurrection Scrolls
A Bunny Hat from the DDO store
Things you can not get but might have: MotU mask, Festival resist fire/cold on cosmetics.
Some things on this list are not as important if you have other things on this list.
For examples:
If you have the Stormreach d12 then the Royal Mask will be rarely used.
If you have some Deathward clickies then others are not needed.
On the other hand, as I overhead in a raid, "The Legendary Ring of Spell Storing is so good, even my Barbarian has one!"
Be sure and pick up Large Ingredient Bags from Vale Favor for several lives, invest in the bank, and backpack space, and also buy the biggest Augment, ingredient, and Collectable bag in the DDO store.
Also, those Shards of Power from Devil's Assault can be crafted into craftable trinkets.
Do enough lives and you can make all sorts of Greensteel clickies or even triple acid absorptions daggers if you want.

FoM flask
I can (maybe) help you trim that list. I barely use any BTC gear -- pretty much only Jibbers & Jewelled. Here's what to NOT farm & why:
- Jibbers [farm is a strong word, but run when able to for xp in epics]
You've already got the right attitude there on "farming" this one. It's nice and handy, but not worth crystal-rerolls or a dedicated farm push unless you're on a raid character that might naturally want T5 Crusader. A character with Mass-Res is greatly enhanced by jibbers -- far FAR more than other characters.
- Jewelled Cloak (spell absorb)
- Greater Harper Pin
- Estar Key
These happen by themselves. No need to farm them. Jewelled is regularly offered as a saga reward, though only the epic-normal variety. Pin & Key come from one run through the E.Star quests. I do that every epic life. Would take a bit more deliberate questing on your part if those aren't part of your regular leveling experience.
Skip IOUNs. You'll have Jeweled naturally from GH Saga leveling.
- GS 3xpos item for heal amp (swap in to use with heal scrolls)
- LGS Affirmation weapon (very nice to use for level 26-cap)
- LGS Spell Crit Mult item (30% is cheap, 35% uses large ings)
Skip these completely. I've never had to use a heal-scroll for healing on any char, epic or heroic, but particularly never in heroics. I've only read about people doing it and then only in posts from 10 years ago. I still pack a stack with every char, but I almost never use them. GS specifically for that is a lot of extra work for nothing.
I also run without LGS while leveling and just blow through sub-cap quests on R1~4. Those are safe to skip. If you have mats to burn, go for it, but those are definitely not worth a farming effort -- particularly because at cap on a caster you'll likely wear dino-gear, which also has extra crit multipliers + stats + augment slots.
BTW, you won't be able to play as a caster while TR'ing unless you are going to forgo 1st-time bonuses and stick to cycling through EPLs only. As soon as you want HPLs, too (eg. classic combo life of 1x EPL > 1x IPL+HPL), you'll have lives that prevent you from taking more than 9 or 10 levels in your desired caster class. A caster without levels is going to have a very hard life indeed.
Here's what I have spent on new characters, either immediately or shortly after I found myself wanting PLs:
- Supreme Tomes; fantastic for opening build opportunities.
- Skill Tomes; v.nice for key skills and always for UMD (tome skills count for build gates, eg. balance tome unlocks SWF)
- XP Tomes (heroic & epic); puts the bonus in first time BONUS
- Huge Bags; no need to fuss with inventory outside natural break-points
- More Bank & Inventory; permits skipping favor while char is young, vital when older & TR cache gets BIG
Interesting.
I use several full stacks of Heal scrolls every life when playing a sorc duoing with a Barb friend healing him and myself during heroics. I dont use them in epics though as there are other means of healing. Are you able to solo R2-4 in heroics on a sorc without needing any healing at all? If you are then you are a much better player than I am. Or, are you always in full groups with a bard (heal song) and someone else taking the damage and/or healing you?
In epics having Affirmation means near zero healing is needed doing R4s. It would obviously be doable without but the difference is pretty big for me.

I already have one racial/heroic/4x epic completionist and another with ~10 lives to go for that.
This character will likely just play 1 racial + 2-3 epic PL each go completely ignoring heroic and iconic lives - and thus be able to play casters every life.
He might end up replacing the "near-zero PL" and sub 25 reaper points mediocre raid tank I have atm once he gets a good deal of EPL and reaper points.

Ah, I never do more than R1 in heroics. There's just no point. Hire heals work great in heroics. They really don't start dying all the time until L20+, which may be more due to my cranking the skulls up a little there than to dumb hire antics.
I usually do R4 leveling in epics with higher reaper @ cap. I've tried Tilo's R4~6 via legendaries during epic leveling, too -- it works, but it's also kinda particular about both build and groups (special build and an amenable group). If you have a static group, this is actually an extremely viable option as it delivers a much higher xp+rxp rate than the more classic R4 to cap then R8+.
Since your long-term goal might be a tank, I recommend you look at B-Sword options along the way and bank them.
Paladins really like
https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Divini...glord%27s_Goal
from the Strad Raid and you are likely to run across a few put up for roll so snag one just in case you later fancy one of the Pally builds such as Poison Pally 18/Fighter 1/Wizard 1 or other variations.
It is min level 28 but is still relevant until the level cap goes up a few more times, even then it will be an interesting leveling-up weapon.
