Simplest option is Alchemist 18 / rogue 2:
- 41 Vistani Knife Fighter
- 21 Vile Chemist (Poisoned Coating, +6 Imbue dice, Simple Thrown Expertise uses INT)
- 11 Assassin (+3 Imbue dice, Ranged Power Boost)
- 6-8 Harper Agent (Know the Angles) - INT to damage can come from Battalion Brew which saves a few APs
Drow with extra racial APs can take up to +2 Imbue dice.

The basics to get the most imbue (depending on if you have racial AP) are:
Drow 15/3/2
Ranger 3 - Arcane Archer (4 imbue dice)
Rogue 2 - Assasian (3 imbue dice)
Drow - (2 imbue dice)
Alchemist or Wizard 15 (5 dice)
If you don't have racial points then Drow probably isn't worth the AP cost.
Wizard vs. Alchemist is interesting, Alchemist get poison imbue, but lots of things are immune, they can strip one mob easily, but not as easy for packs. Wizard has no immunity bypass unless Tiefling fire, but you can easily switch between four elements.
In some ways just going Wizard 20 or Alchemist 20 is also interesting, less imbue dice, but you can augment with spell damage and get AOE, which is the downfall of ranged. IPS is just fairly poor compared to spell AOE.
A lot depends on how developed your character is, lots of PL and enhancement points means you can go hybrid a lot easier, still get good enough DC to do some decent spell casting and be a thrower. If you don't have a bunch of past lives and top end gear then the spellcasting part is a lot harder and less interesting.
This is just talking imbue dice, not necessarily the highest DPS thrower etc... not sure on that.
