Farming for Dragon Soul Gems
What is the lowest level quest/easiest with a for sure drop of a dragon soul gem?

I'm pretty sure Pseudodragons count as dragons for the purpose of soul gems. If you have access to the Stormhorns wilderness zone you could target the Pseudodragons found in that wilderness with the army encampments. There is a named one in Memory Lapse a level 6 quest in the Twelve, but I've never attempted to trap its soul. There might be a lower level quest with a pseudodragon but this is the lowest of which I can remember.

AFAIK heroic stormhorns is your best bet.

army camps have decent chance to have 2-4 pseudodragons and while they appear in other quests I don't know any that has them in such concentrations (also, unless I'm mistaken you want either yellow named or orange named to be able to trap soul)

Another advantage of SH is that it's wilderness so they are guaranteed to have lov saves, making it easier to trap souls.

There are only 2 non-red name dragons in the game. The pseudodragons in Stormhorns wilderness, and the 4 dragons in Invitation to Dinner on heroic normal/hard (orange named instead of red). These are the only sources of the dragon gems

My experience has been that TTS does not work on named mobs.

it depends on if they are red or orange named

if not in epics you can instakill oranges if not dwarded


and if you are in epics - if so you cant tts any orange nameds

Good tip. I did say, I had never attempted to trap its soul.
