Default Request: Apply Sentience to Cannith Crafted item

Can we please have this, as quite frankly ever single non-raid epic repeating crossbow created by the developers is rubbish

All the level 20 xbows are doing +4d6 + (stuff against particular mobs) + 1 augment slot
    A level 20 cannith xbow has +4D6 force +4d6 bludgeon + insightful deadly3 or seeker4 + 2 augment slots

To get similar performance out of any of the epic crossbows I need to carry all 5 different ones and swap between them situationally for each monster type. Quite frankly life is too short to be doing that, trying to pick out from almost identical icons on my hot bar to see which set I am in now. To get the benefits of sentience then I would need to have a well filled up jewel in each of these 5 different crossbows.

Seeing loads of damage numbers up on the screen ,is, in a word, fun. Spending my type switching weapons back and forth sucks.
The named epic lvl 20 xbows are all so rubbish I don't bother with any of them. And so I don't bother with all these filigrees, until level 29 there's nothing.
All of the level 20ish repeating xbows are nothing but junk. That's what you have made, junk, not something that is appealing.

Your job when designing items is to make interesting and appealing items. As far as Repeating XBows are concerned, you've failed

Quite frankly a level named 20 repeating heavy xbow with the same stats as a good cannith one is all I want. (oh and lets have a light repeater and a heavy and light one as well).

Stick a "Sentience Grafter" in the store for 2500 points that will make an item count as a named item and allow it to accept sentience and I'll buy it today.

+1 for understanding mechanically you have to look at what you are gaining and losing and not just blindly accept a named item is best.

Loss of 10d6 + 1d4 festival from Cannith means you need ~3 imbue die or 3 sentient slots to break even. It isn't until the 4th sentient slot that you actually gain using such a named item + sentience, assuming a spell powered imbue.

I am finally starting to learn filligrees:

I thought a neat option would be: letting us make like an Epic Version of Master's Gift (+5% XP) with the Epic VoM and letting us slot that into an Item and remove the 1 filligree slot cap.

Though this would definitely take some coding and could probably be exploited somehow that I just don't see at the moment.

I guess just having "Cannith Additional Slot for Sentience" would be the easier thing?

Oh, and I like this idea. Certain weapons really have bad options for named weapons from 20 until 29. Heavy Picks and Handaxes mainly...maybe I am dumb but it seems liek Deathnips are best until 29 on a high stat build.
