Default Returning player looking for a guild to join!

A few days ago I got back into playing DDO. Had to make a new character due to the last time I had played was when the game first came out. So, I got no idea what to really do anymore. I am looking for a guild that is easy going and not expecting much, I suck at games now days. I also tend to not have a whole lot of time to play, very causal.

You didn't/don't "have" to make something new (and there's a good chance your "old" alts will have some great stuff added to their inventory over the years!). If there's an alt/name/etc that you are attached to, esp if they have some Past Lives or just a dozen levels under them, there's no strong reason to abandon them and every reason to keep!

First, it's MUCH easier to get to 20 than it used to be, even for a casual player. Almost anything can limp there, and even a broken build can be re-routed into something that is merely gimped, and make it np. And once you're at 20, then you can rebuild how you prefer with a(nother) Past Life under your belt, all good.

Also, any alts that old will all have a free +0 and +20 Heart of Wood, for exactly this purpose - to rebuild into something you want. (Look in Pack Inventories). Tho' often, with some creative thinking and a visit to Fred*, even that is not necessary.

(Note - Even if you can't re-build exactly like a suggested build (below), something close, or close-ish, or just "similar"(ish!) is often more than good enough! XP rains down now - trust me.)

Here are some recent(ish) builds - however, few (if any?) are going to be the cutting edge META. Unfortunately, there was a recent (Nov '22) change in how damage can be increased ("imbues"), and there are simply not enough new builds to form a "collection" (much less anyone who has done same). But maximizing Imbues is not a dealbreaker for a "good" build, and (as I said) most anything decent will all get you to 20 just fine.

o Hard Core builds: These will tend to sacrifice some DPS (and thus Leveling speed) for Survivability - https://forums.ddo.com/forums/showth...=1#post6556776

    Also, some collections...
o https://forums.ddo.com/forums/showth...=1#post6134043 - Strim' often builds for newer players, but most are solid
& Build Repository - These are now "older" builds, so few will be META, but also few are unfit for play, and some few are still the same. Including it for the spectrum it offers. Suggest you post a link to any one you like and see what the build gurus have to say about any "modernization" it needs.
