Default Inquisi Build Help For Returning Player

    Hey fellow adventurer's.

I've taken a couple of lengthy breaks from the game, recently managed to come back, and to my dismay it seems popular build threads I used to follow, and the forums in general seem to be dead. I'm terrible at coming up with builds, and would love some help with an inquisi build that I can use to both farm 1-30 and min / max at cap to be useful in R10's.

If anyone is willing to help me figure something out that would be awesome! I saw this imbue build: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3mEH_21UTE&t=572s he doesn't show the damage though, how is it at soloing through heroics / epic content when needed?

    Thanks for any help!

I did a similar build a while ago and it was quite excellent for soloing through all the levels, 1-30, in R1-R4. However, it doesn't start to shine until late epics. For me, using average non-raid equipment, the damage was about 5k per bolt, up to 30k on crits when the shiradi mantle triggered. With high rate of fire, especially with NHB, the dps is quite nice. This was with about 700 spellpower (it's surely possible to reach well over 1k with some effort).
A con is self healing when soloing... you'll have to rely on scrolls and hirelings. Pro for this kind of build (instead of the other popular one based on alchemist), is that it's very easy to switch element when having lots of mobs immune to your regular choice of element, without having to strip immunities. Having rogue levels also makes trapping a breeze, which is nice if you solo a lot.

Still... not sure if it beats the best bow and tosser builds around right now, but at least you'll have a lot of fun with this kind of build.

    Why 15 wiz though
18 alchemist 2 rogue/arti will perform the same, alchemist has better self-healing and 21 AP in Vile Chemist gives you a lot

Do AA imbue even work with crossbows? if not, 3 ranger is not even worth it.

The game changes, and sometimes faster than others. The recent "imbue" changes switched stuff up a lot if you're worried about the current META (tho' some older builds that don't ~focus~ on imbues still can be perfectly solid, depending).

(FYI, "imbues" were introduced in Nov of '22, so any build posted/updated from ~Dec to present should(!) be "current".

    Oh, is that all?

You set the bar pretty high. I'll assume you have current gear? (Without that, even the best build will have a hard time clearing the bar you set. )

From a casual interest in following the FotM, the current meta is what Mag' refers to, the Alch-Arti (or a variation on that).

This is all explained (in detail) in the vid - start at timestamp ~2:30 for Wiz.

For just the Core 3, Eldritch Knight gets imbue based on Wiz level (L15 = +5 dice), plus a Wiz's spellpower for the AA imbues (which scale off elemental SP).

According to the vid poster, apparently they do (+4 dice for 12 AP). <shrug> (see vid timestamp 3:15)
