I heard this mentioned quite a while ago when the Risia games were retired (either on the forums or maybe in a Weekly Wednesday livestream). So if I know about it, it's considered "public" knowledge.

I don't think it's a pressing issue that requires a hotfix. Go ahead and use the skates, whatever.

I could swear either Cordovan or someone on an ask devs stream said this was just a neat little side use for those skates, obviously said before Risia/midwinter skating was retired.

I am going to assume this is NOT an exploit and I am going to use it because it gives me something I can use these skates that I paid real money for.

I don't see any reason to assume this is an exploit, just a neat trick. if the Devs say otherwise I will of course stop doing it. Until then Ima sk8r
