    Default wish is too expensive...

Digging through old chars I will never play, I found i have FIVE raid rewards boxes, that will never see the light of day because its all btc.

Btc sucks. Is there some sort of way I can move these raid boxes that doesnt involve spending _a lot_ of money? Even one is too expensive.

I agree. Should be like 20 US dollars. They would move a lot more then. And it doesn't require any work for a team member.

Everything in this video game is too expensive. It's not even a video game anymore it's more like a timeshare.

We've been telling them the wish was too expensive since day 1.

    Default I wanted one

Well I wanted one or five but didn't buy it because it's too much money.

If it was 20 bucks and I bought five.

Or it stays the way it is I won't buy any. There is no point for me I haven't raided since 2011.

SSG is making money off them at the current price point.

    Everything is expensive these days.

Of course it's too expensive. That's the whole point. They don't want to devalue BtC status by simply turning it into a whale check, so they make sure it's only used sparingly enough to not affect game balance

BtC should be devalued. Its a terrible mechanic that should never have existed.

    Except in this case.

These special anniversary rewards were issued 1/character, and were NEVER designed to be shifted all to one character.

Yes, that was back when "alts" were a thing, but the premise remains. 1 character, 1 raid box. Suck it up.

I think BTC is fine for most things that are BTC

    BTCoE is much better though

How is game balance affected by being able to easily switch items between my characters?

Can you de-btc a raid box?

Or does it have to be an item from inside the raid box.

If I am going to hit the epics with my two chars, I would really like to have access to the things I have to use. :/

I also don't think balance is a thing with the wish, it's well. I have discussed with my friends the nature of predatory pay to win tactics. I don't agree to that SSG is good company to me I love them, but sometimes they make it easy for others to make that argument.

They should review and adjust the price.

If you're after a weapon just run CiTW a couple times. You'll very likely get your weapon. If you do the opts there's 6 end chests possible. The CitW weapons drop like candy and most people will pass. It's a super easy zerg on elite in a pug these days even if you only have a few people. When I run CitW I usually see a surprising amount of people joining and between the group with 6 chests that's a max of 6x12=72 possible chest pulls.

When I run that raid on elite in a pug atleast like half the weapons on the loot list drop between the group.

Obviously you have to flag though which is a long process so I understand the frustration in that sense.

Yup it's a whale item. (like many things on the shop)

Very poor value if you are not a whale that doesn't care about money. (~30€? That's a whole indie game/ game on discount - just for moving ONE item? or in the DDO shop: an expansion with points left over)

If you are a regular player not a whale, just ignore that it exists.

No, definitely not a time share, LOL. I own two time shares LOL and I know.

With the purchases you can play this game forever, without paying anything more.

For a timeshare, there are maintenance fees that you have to pay every year, roughly around $1000 to $2000, say for a 2 bed room; EVEN IF YOU DO NOT STAY OR USE IT.

For a timeshare, you can rent out for earning money back say $600; or you can trade it for points or trade it to other places, like if you own Hawaii and wanted to go to Italy, you can trade; paying a minimal exchange fee of 250$, you can stay in a two bedroom condo in Italy for one week.

You cannot do that with DDO. Say, you're tired of playing DDO as a multi-life capped level 32 with some reaper points. How about trading one week of DDO play time to say another game, say; Final Fantasy XIV as a level 90 capped character. You can't do that, LOL, so not a timeshare.

As not to get off topic, for the wish of Inheritance. Personally I think no raid loot is worth 30 dollars, unless we're talking about the EROSS 10 years ago.

Just run the raids on the character that wanted it; your character will get it soon enough. Some kind people on Orien will even pass out Legendary raid timer bypasses so you can do multi-runs in if they're doing multiple runs.

Wish of Inheritance for 1995 points? Wouldn't that be nice, eh?

Yeah, those are the raid chests I have. How long does it take to zerg? I am first life, no reaper points or anything, and limited to playtime during morning EST.

    Thanks!

    Default Reponse

For the price of the Wish, they would get more sales if it took and BTC item and permanently made it BTA!

If you flag on normal it will take many torturous hours. CitW has one of the worst flagging mechanics in the entire game, with a staggering 15 quests to complete. Its certainly not difficult to do, just soul-crushingly boring.

Once that's complete best of luck finding a raid in your play-time.
